"I am mainly a guitar player but have wanted a bass for some time but most of the ones I liked were out of my budget. I picked up one of these a few months back and couldn't believe the feel and sound for the price. I got one for Christmas and played it all weekend. Once I got it tuned up, it stayed that way and the action felt perfect right out of the box. There was no buzzing on any of the strings all the way up the neck. I gave it a 4.5 because of a couple of small blemishes on the one I received but they are barely noticable. All in all, this was an excellent purchase."

Comments about Carlo Robelli SSB1 4 String Bass:
"i was browsing [...] one day near christmas looking at basses. i had a $500 dollar limit for an amp and a good bass since my old one was falling apart. i noticed the beautiful pearl black bass on the wall and started to play it. i loved the sound, the feel was perfect and i loved the almost weightless body. i also admired the finish. i put it back since i was sure it was over my price range, but to my surprise, it was only $[...]! i put it under my arm for an hour looking at amps so no one would bother trying to take it. after a year of havong it, it still has not lost any quality. it plays perfect, intonation is right on, and the action was good from the start. the only thing i have altered since i bought it were the strings, but after every 3 weeks i still put the factury strings back on since they still sound better. if you have a limit on your bass, or just want a good one to start on, or keep going on, then this IS the bass to get. unless you want an active bass, which will be my next buy. see ya!"
