Bought this guitar for my curious children. My full sized acoustic was a bit to large for them. When I brought it home and tried tuning it with a tuner everything seemed ok. Then I played the first chord. Went back and tried tuning it relative to itself and noticed most strings were significantly off. After this it almost played a chord correctly. As you move up the fretboard the stings get significantly more out.
Took it back and had several people in the store look at it. They were very helpful. It took about 15 seconds of playing to notice the problem. After looking at several other instruments of the same model it seems they are all built this way. Again the staff was extremely helpful offering everything from a trade up to a full refund.
In the end we kept the guitar because honestly the kids won't put it down, but the idea of using it as a travel guitar is pretty much out of the question. Anyone used to playing even a half way decent instrument would go nuts playing this thing.
I can't even recommend this for beginners because learning to tune a guitar is one of the basics everyone needs to learn and getting this model even close to tune is pretty difficult.
