Samson C05 CL Handheld Condenser

The Samson C05 handheld condenser has been added to the ConcertLine Series. It’s great for obtaining studio quality vocals for live performance. The C05 features a 19mm multi-axis shock mounted capsule, condenser optimized cardioid pickup pattern, gold plated XLR connection and 48-volt phantom power operation. Included is an XLR mic cable, mic stand clip and carry pouch.

this mic really brings out vocals like no other for instance the all mighty sm 58 when you hear the name you think profesional and great clarity WRONG
the mic is very quiet i'm not saying its bad or anything and i'm not telling you not to buy it i'm telling you there might be beter options for you thats why i love my samson co5 its sounds great i've played around with it and there is no way you'd wast mony on NADY product get the real stuff samson co5

This mic is a hidden gem. The frequency response of its condenser capsule is flat with a 5 dB bump around the 2.5K thru 9K. This gives it a really nice response to vocals. It's well built, and has a comfortable design. I would say that if you would like a Shure SM86, and cannot afford it - this is your mic.

Shure (pun intended), you could spend [$]on a professional grade microphone. But why? I've owned my C05 mic now for over 3 years and not once has it even started to shown signs of failing.Crystal clear sound; highs, mids, and lows - clarity beyond what I'd expect from a mic in this price range. I've used other mics that do not compare to this one whatsoever. The only con I'll say that the mic has, is in a *FEW* -very limited- occasions, depending on the stage setup etc. - feedback issues did form slightly. Keep the distance between the mic and the PA/monitors, and you'll be just fine.Don't forget this mic requires phantom power!So long as its available, I'll stick with saving [$]+. Awesome mic, job well done Samson!

We bought 10 of these for our Gospel group (20 musicians & 10 singers).WE perform both in the US and abroad.The singers went nuts when they heard this mic for the 1st time!It made it easier to hear all the harmony parts and brought out everyones own unique characteristics in their voice.The ONLY mic that comes close is the Shure Beta 87A--but it costs $250.[...]

"I was thouroughly blown away by the sound and feel of this mic. Very transparent sound. Good rich lows and crisp top end without being piercing or harsh. I sing in a church worship team with some top notch musicians (not your average ""garage"" group). Our leader uses a Shure Beta 87 (~$250) and this mic [...] blows it away. Very comfortable in the hand as well. I am going to pick up a couple more of these for the other vocalists in the group. Great job Samson! "
