First one I recieved was a lemon didn't even turn on when I got it home. Second one every once and awhile it would clip out like the fuse is blowing. Finally the fuse went and know I'm out of comision for 4-6 weeks so they can figure out why. Great head for the price good sound lots of power but not reliable enough to use at a show.

Well, like MANY others, i did LOTS of research on this model prior to purchase. I just couldnt grasp the reviews and its price. Well i received mine in december 2010 to my liking its a BAD a55 TUBE amp. NOW THE BUT!- it has a problem with the speaker connects or a soldering problem cuase at high volume or any vibrations it seems to cut out about half the volume? Its obviuosly under warranty, but sam ash has not sent my new one yet. [...]Im very upset, and cant really play without an amp....i will revise this if it gets to me and sounds GREAT.

I bought these despite all the initial reviews telling me how my amp was going to die out. However, this amp has held up the past three months so far and I have had no problems with it whatsoever. It has a great tone and I used it on my recent recording project [@]TRY THIS AMP. IT IS AMAZING.

I use this amp in my pop punk band, and i have been searching for a long time for an amp with the warmth, depth, power, and fantastic distortion like this. a few months after i got it, the bugera stock tubes burnt out, so i swapped them for some mesa 6l6s and couldnt be happier. the new tubes really opened this amp up, adding more low end, increasing the midrange tightness, dynamic responsiveness, and added more gain, as if that was even possible. the only reliability problem ive had with this amp is that the fuse blows on occasion, but its a cheap easy fix. the lead channel on this amp has a great tone, thick, deep, chunky, and tight. great high end clarity, and more gain than you could ever need. i was also very impressed with the clarity of the clean channel, however it lacks some of the depth that i would like to hear. the crunch channel can produce tight, vintage tubey overdrive tones, and when this amp is cranked to about 2 on the master level, it really opens up. couldnt be happier with this amp

I have owned my bugera 333xl for almost 2 years. The first one i had died after about 9 months. [...] So being someone who likes to figure out problems I spent a lot of time online trying to figure out what was wrong. Eventually i stumbled on a blog on ultimate guitar from a guy named beer church. He had a 333xl and it did the same thing and he said forget it i am gonna open it up. What he found was where they connected the high voltage wires was a clip. The clip had loosened up over time and arked [@] He was able to just cut the clip off and solder the wires right to the leads. So i took my new amp home and pulled it apart and much to my surprise they realized what happened and fixed it. There was no longer a clip it was soldered directly to the leads from the factory. I Love my amp the tone is outstanding and it looks awesome.

I definetly recomend this to anyone who wants to get their moneys worth out of a tube amp it sounds amazing great distortion that you wont find in any other tube amp at around the price. it does seem a little cheaply made as far as knobs and such goes but for the price what do you expect if you take care of it this amp is great :D

This is by far one of the best sounding tube amps that I have ever heard. I am a young guitarist, and I'm only six years into my playing career, but my ears don't lie to me, and I know what I want to hear out of an amp. I've had two modeling amps, and although there are many benefits to those style of amps, nothing can beat a true tube amp. With the three different channels and the "XL" feature, it gives any guitarist exactly what they're looking for, from Fender Twin Reverb cleans to Marshall's roaring crunch to the grit and bite of a Mesa Triple Rectifier. It's also actually affordable! Not Marshall's "[$] affordable." Also, in my opinion, I think it's better than Marshall. I've played JCM800's and JVM410's and I think the range is better, not to mention that the high gain is much "punchier." Plus the XL boost is perfect for solos, and allows a player to get rid of any boost pedal for solos. A few other great features the amp has is the noise gate and the reverb. The noise gate is only able to be activated when you are on the lead channel, but you don't need it for the other two, and the reverb is fantastic, from a small echo, to a brain-rattling reverb big enough to fill an arena. This is the true working musicians amp, and is the fraction of the price of its competitors and just as good, and better in most cases. You'd be a fool to ignore this amp.

I have been in the market for an affordable all tube amp as my current amp lacks overall tone, and is not loud enough. The Bugera 333xl is affordable, loud as anything, and sounds phenominal. I could not ask for more out of an amp. As soon as i have the money, i will buy it, no questions asked.

This head is one of the most versatile, powerful, and overall attractive amps out there in the market today. First off, it's overflowing with features, such as a heavy duty four button foot-switch (which is simple, easy to use, good for dark-lit stages, and can withstand a crushing foot stomp), three channel foot-switchable design, all-tube circuitry, [...], and an amazing, plush, and splashy reverb. The clean channel is marvelous. Even with modern, high-gain style pickups, this channel will not distort. It also handles smooth overdrive pedal tones very well, and distributes it evenly across the front-end of the amp. Next up you have your simple, yet great-sounding crunch channel. This channel is geared more toward 70's classic Rock N' Roll tones, as made famous by bands like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. With it, you have your basic four-band EQ (treble, middle, bass, and gain), and enough power, volume and gain to emulate tones popular in the 80's (Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen), but not so much to disgust purists. Lastly, the amp features the ever-popular, crushing lead channel. This channel also features the same four band EQ as mentioned before, but sounds much more saturated and can handle more scooped tones heard on albums like Master Of Puppets and Rust In Peace. Both the crunch and lead channels are subjected to the added noise gate (which is only available on the 333XL model) which can be used to tighten the low-end and sharpen the overall tone of the two distorted channels. Another useful feature that many Bugera fan-boys swear by is the clean boost feature meshed with the circuitry of the effects loop. Basically, you can dial in the amount of volume you with to increase your tone by on the back of the amp and whenever the effects loop is engaged (which is foot-switchable, I might add) you get a slight boost in volume and tone that does not effect the overall sound of the amp. The amp also features a master volume feature (which is great, because this beast is incredibly loud, but not so loud that apartment dwellers need to keep a distance) and an onboard presence control. This amp also comes standard with hand picked EL34 tubes and 12AX7 tubes in the front-end of the inner workings of the amp. All the EQ controls (including volume) are very responsive and are extremely sensitive, leaving you with the unlimited ability to search for the tone that you've been hearing in the back of your head all these years. Some pedals I recommend using with this amp are the BBE Sonic Stomp, and the Dunlop 535Q Multi-Wah. Enjoy!

I been looking for a new head, but I've had a lot of trouble finding a full affordable full tube head with great distortion. I've played the Peavey XXX, 6505+, several marshalls, Mesa boogies and lots more, all of them out of my price range. For an amp with great distortion and all tube, it's a great value.
