The A-16R is a rack mounted version of the original A-16 Personal Mixer. Any combination of A-16 (or A-16II) Personal Mixers and A-16R rack mounted Personal Mixers can be combined to create a personal monitoring system. The A-16R retains all the features of the A-16 Personal Mixer, and adds many new connectivity options. There are balanced outputs on the rear panel (with both XLR and ¼" jacks), stereo balanced insert points, and an auxiliary stereo mix input with a front-panel level control. The A-16R can also store and recall User Presets via MIDI. There are MIDI In, Out, and Thru jacks on the rear panel of the 1U-high unit. The A-16R can also accept the A-16CS Control Surface as an option. The A-16R works great with wireless in-ear monitor transmitters. By placing the A-16R in the rack with the in-ear transmitters and power amps, all audio connection are in a central location. If you use wedge monitors in your system along with in-ear monitors and headphones, the A-16R allows you to create custom wedge mixes than can be instantly recalled by saving mix snapshots as Presets. An optional remote control is available, the A-16CS Control Surface.
