Audient Mico Dual Microphone Preamplifier and A/D Converter
The Audient Mico Dual Mic Pre is capable of recording at 44.1/48/96kHz @ 24-bit using it’s own low-jitter internal clock, and can also handle rates from 44.1 to 192kHz using an external word clock which can be attached to the Mico’s Word Clock input on a BNC connector on the rear panel. The analog front end’s Class A design is inherited from Audient’s renowned ASP008 and ASP8024 mixing consoles so you can be rest assured you’re getting outstanding sonic transparency and detail in every take. A Variphrase control on the Mico’s channel 2 allows you to precisely set the phase alignment when recording a single sound source with either 2 mics or mic+DI. Another unique feature of the Audient Mico is HMX harmonic sculpting technology. It allows you to dial in (to taste) tube-like vintage style character to your input signal, making it possible to achieve a wide range of tones and further enhancing the Mico’s capabilities.
Connections include a front panel DI (direct input), perfect for the direct connection of a guitar or bass. Around the back of the Mico are inputs for XLR as well as TRS in the form 2 combi-jacks. There’s 2-XLR analog outputs, an AES/EBU digital output as well as SPDIF coaxial and TOSLINK connectors. A dedicated Word clock IN allows the Audient Mico to be slaved to a master clock for total system integration.
Rounding out the Mico’s features is a handy Phase Invert switch, switchable 48V phantom power for condenser mics, and a -20dB Pad.
