This thing is great. The kick sounds like carp through the built in speakers, but through headphones or a decent PA this thing sounds BIG. Takes a little getting used to the foot pedals, but all in all, it gives you the ability to play and record a very convincing drum kit. Very resposive and touch sensitive. I can't stop playing it, it is alot of fun. Only thing that is a negative is that it has a bit of AC hum that is noticeable when using headphones or PA.

The more I play with this thing the more I like it. It has only 11 drum sets but the sound quality is amazing and with midi in/out, I can hook up to my sound module.Great for beginners. With 1/4" stereo output, I could use this in small gigs. It can not replace my acoustic but it is a good option that I can practice it at my apartment and it is a lot of fun to play. Besides, with the built-in MP3 recorder and player, I can play along with my favorite music and record it without any additional gear.

I received this as a gift since I've always wanted to learn the drums and found this to be extremely useful due to the compact size and it's easy to put away when I'm not using it. It's also great for beginners who don't want a full set with many parts to piece together. Also, since it's pretty portable, I can take it to my friend's place who's a drummer to teach me. He has a couple different drum sets, but I'm always afraid of damaging something so with me learning on this, I can just jam away.
