Iv'e had these sticks for more than a year i believe until they finally broke, dont get me wrong these sticks are great!!! specially if youre only gonna practice i recomend in a live show playing with wood because these sticks are only good for practice and in a live show wood gives the set more sound. But yeah save your money [$] if you dont wanna break your sticks at practice but eventually after a really really long time they will break i say 2-3 years max....remember everything doesnt last forever, so the bottom line if you want drumsticks to practice and not waste your money breaking alot of sticks during practice i recomend these 110%!!!

I have used so many diferrent kinds of sticks in the past three years since I started playing drums. Zildjians break fast. Vaters break faster and give me excruciating blisters. Pro-Mark oaks are indestructable but so heavy they broke my 16" crash. However, Aheads never break. They are very light, so it's like floating when you play. You don't feel any shock on your hands, which is great for more aggressive playing.
