The P-45 is the easiest-to-own, 88-note, weighted-keyboard digital piano that Yamaha offers!

This Yamaha P-45 Digital Piano has a basic set of features, ideal for the needs of the beginner piano student. Features GHS weighted action (heavier in the low end and lighter in the high end), Advanced Wave Memory Stereo Sampling, 64-note polyphony, Dual Mode and USB to HOST port.

Authentic to the touch
Yamaha's GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) weighted action has heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high end, just like the hammers inside an acoustic piano. Great for the aspiring pianist, practicing on the GHS action builds the proper finger technique for when the time comes to perform on an acoustic piano. Plus the matte finish of the black keys are less slippery when playing for extended periods of time.

Tried and true, Yamaha's classic sound engine for realistic tone
AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) sampling uses digital technology to record the sound of an acoustic piano. AWM Stereo Sampling creates a deeper, richer and more spacious sound by using pairs of waveforms (L and R) captured with two microphones. The P-45 uses AWM to play one sample per key at varying levels of volume and timbre.

Simple, single-button operation
Various P-45 settings can be changed with a single button. Hold down the "GRAND PIANO/FUNCTION" button and press the keyboard to change Voices, play demo sources, configure the metronome and more.

This is an amazing keyboard for someone looking to get started using a full size weighted keyboard. Without too many bells and whistles, the P-45 has just enough to make your practicing way more beneficial with the realistic feel of the keys. It also has a USB port and can be used as a midi controller with the size and feel of a real piano!

Comments about Yamaha P-45 Digital Piano:

I bought this piano for my daughter and she loves it! Everything works well and it has a good sound. Keys are weighted and feel very similar to a regular piano. For the money it's hard to beat!
It arrived quickly and was well packed for shipment. I would definitely recommend this company

Comments about Yamaha P-45 Digital Piano:

Just like the P115, this P45 digital piano has a lot to offer. It does not have as many function controls at your fingertips as the P115, but it does offer a lot of versatility using the "Function" button to switch sounds, tempo, and demo songs. It also has the same graded hammer action, as well as a great speaker system and a variety of outputs, including 1/4", headphones, and USB for use with computer software.

Comments about Yamaha P-45 Digital Piano:

The P-45 is the least expensive of the major weighted-key digital pianos, but you'd never know it from the feel and sound. This is one of the best pianos available for beginning students, or advanced players in need of an inexpensive instrument for practice or gigging. A decent selection of sounds, including electric pianos and strings, rounds out the features of this excellent instrument.
