"The Process"

Here is an overview of the ordering process at Sam Ash in ten easy steps — from selecting an item to its delivery at your doorstep!


1. Finding what you need ordering step one Use our comprehensive search engine to find the exact piece of gear you are looking for. The left-hand navigation menu allows you to narrow down your search using hundreds of detailed product attributes. Need a left-handed short-scale five-string bass guitar? No problem!
2. Adding an item to your shopping cart ordering step two When you find the item you've been searching for, add it to your shopping cart by adjusting the quantity to your liking and clicking the red "Add to Cart" button. If the product qualifies for an Extended Service Plan, you'll be able to choose that along with all the accessories you'll need. Extended Service Plans provide an extra level of protection beyond the normal manufacturer warranty.

3. Checkout ordering step three Once you've got everything you need in your cart, you're ready to proceed to checkout. If you haven't already logged in, you can do so by entering your email address and your password. If you're not registered with us yet, don't worry – we'll step you through registration as you place your order. Once registered and logged in, just select the address to which your order is going to be shipped, give your shopping cart contents a once-over to make sure everything you need is accounted for, then click "Finalize Order".
4. Placing your order ordering step four Our website is encrypted to make sure that your payment method as well as your order itself remains private and secure. Your credit card or e-Gift Certificate will not be charged until you actually hit the "Finalize Order" button, after which you'll receive a confirmation email including all order information your confirmation number.

5. Phoning in your order ordering step fiveIf you'd rather place your order over the phone, just call our 24 hour customer service hotline at 1-800-4-SAMASH.  Our team of musicians is there to help you at all hours of the day or night.  Don't believe us? Call the number and ask the person who answers the phone what instrument they play! Oh, and even if you're not placing an order, you can still contact our call center to ask any questions you'd like about our products! 
6. Adjusting your order ordering step six What if you click "Finalize Order" and suddenly realize you've made a mistake, or that you've forgotten to add something to your cart? It’s no big deal. Just call us at 1-800-4-SAMASH and one of our representatives will do everything possible to accommodate you.
7. Pulling together your order ordering step seven Once your order is finalized, we'll pick your items from our huge warehouse and send them off to the packaging line. The items are then checked and then double-checked against the order to make sure that everything is accounted for.  Finally, out expert shippers pack the items and get the order ready for its journey to your door.
8. Shipping your order ordering step eight Most orders are sent via FedEx, but items that are under 16oz are sent USPS. You will receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order is sent out, and your order's status can be checked by logging in to our website. You can also check your order by calling our customer support line at 1-800-4-SAMASH. Have your order confirmation number ready when you call – it’ll make things easier.
9. Delivering your items ordering step nine If your order is being shipped via FedEx, you'll receive a tracking number in your shipping confirmation email. By logging in to SamAsh.com and clicking on "View Orders", you'll be able to click on the tracking number that matches the one in your email to see the exact distance standing between you and your gear.
10. Guaranteed satisfaction ordering step ten SamAsh.com offers the very best service and product guarantees in the business. We call it our "Musicians Bill of Rights".
