FENDER STRATOCASTER

The Fender Stratocaster, or “Strat” for short, has been a mainstay in the realm of electric guitar since it was first created back in 1954. It remains one of the most popular electric guitar designs that Fender has ever created, and is known for a bright, twangy sound. The unmistakable Fender Stratocaster guitar design consists of a smooth, contoured body with a double cutaway design and an extended top horn for extra balance on a guitar stand. This guitar design has been widely imitated by countless other guitar companies, but nothing compares to a real Fender!

The Stratocaster electric guitar comes in many different variations, however, they are all derived from the same two basic models: the Standard Stratocaster and the American Standard Stratocaster . The major difference between these two is that the American Standard Stratocaster is manufactured in the United States.

FENDER TELECASTER

The Fender Telecaster guitar, also referred to as the “Tele,” was first brought into the guitar world in 1950, and is the world’s oldest solid-body electric guitar. The Fender Telecaster played a direct role in the evolution of popular music, mainly because the solid body gave it enough volume to be used as a lead instrument, and its two single-coil pickups, give the guitar a bright, cutting tone. This electric guitar features a very simple modular design that lent itself easily to mass-production during the 50’s, and has been upgraded and retooled throughout the years to keep itself as a Fender mainstay for electric guitar fans from all genres!

The Telecaster electric guitar, like the Stratocaster, comes in many different variations, however, they are all derived from the same two basic models: the Standard Telecaster and the American Standard Telecaster. The major difference between these two is that the American Standard Telecaster is manufactured in the United States.

FENDER JAZZMASTER

&Fender’s Jazzmaster electric guitar made its debut in 1958, and although it was obviously intended for jazz guitarists, it became wildly popular in the world of surf rock, and eventually in alternative rock during the 80’s and 90’s. The offset waist body was originally designed to make guitar playing in a seated position extra comfortable for jazz musicians, but even though this electric guitar didn’t gain popularity with its intended audience, the Fender Jazzmaster still has a firm place in the hearts of electric guitar lovers everywhere!

FENDER JAGUAR

The Fender Jaguar is an electric guitar very similar in design to the Fender Jazzmaster, made with the same offset waist body and floating tremolo system, but built on a smaller scale and given 22 frets instead of the usual 24. In another similarity to the Jazzmaster, the Fender Jaguar also gained in popularity among the same guitar players: surf rockers of the 60’s and alternative rockers of the 80’s and 90’s. Fender has made many alterations to the classic design over the years, without taking away the unique look that has made this electric guitar famous!

SQUIER by FENDER

If you’re looking for a Stratocaster, Telecaster, or Jazzmaster but know they’re out of your price range, never fear – Fender’s line of Squier electric guitars are all derived from original Fender models, but are produced at a considerably lower cost. Beginner and novice guitarists can easily find the Fender style they like at the price they want.
