Designed by synth designer, Yves Usson, Arturia's MinBrute is an award-winning all-analog synth that incorporates the natural beauty and character of analog with the most integral features and wave synthesis controls of the finest classic synths.

The thick, rich sounds of analog synthesis combined with an inuitive and powerful interface in a device built to take the rigors of portable use. The winner of Electronic Musician's Editor's Choice Award because of the many features it put into one monosynth, like USB, MIDI, along with vintage synth amenities like the Steiner Parker multimode filter and the arpeggiator. All basic wave creations can easily be modified further through the LFO and other factors, like a loop feedback-based “Brute Factor” knob and switchable aftertouch control, increasing the level of control beyond many other synths in this size and price range, further proving the MiniBrute to be a serious analong sound tool for recording and perfromance, even in it's small form.

Play With Your Curiosity
A very small amount of exploration and creativity can generate useful and engaging tones. The Arpeggiater can be set to multiple divisions of the tempo, plus a swing factor (1-6), while the LFO can be locked into the arpeggiator tempo. Each of the waves has a definitive unique character all their own. The Sawtooth can be fine-tuned for a smoother wave, while the Triangle wave can be re-shaped with a knob call the "Metalizer," which adds interesting distortion.  Control Voltage In/Out makes it possible to connect with other synth oscillators for unlimited potential expansion. Or, more simply, use the Audio In control to process external audio sounds through the synth.

Steiner Parker Filter
The synth also utilizes the multi-mode Steiner-Parker filter, which includes a lowpass mode like most other synths, but also Bandpass, and High-pass, making it a highly versatile and praised boutique filter. Normally costing more in its stand-alone form,  the MicroBrute includes it in its design, making it a lower-cost version of the SP Filter, as well as a versatile instrument all its own, yet SP developer Nyle Steiner has approved and praised this integration into the overall design. Built solid and specifically built with an external power supply to reduce noise.

Brute Factor
Inspired by a truly analog function, much like amp anomolies from electric guitar feedback that shaped rock from the late 60's and on, a feedback loop inspired overdriven distortion normally requiring improperly-matching connections within the synth...One of those things you weren't supposed to do, that turned into a great accidental discovery. Now you can get the same fantastic grunge and personality just by raising the Brute Factor knob up. This is yet another example of a natural sound effect phenomenon you can only get from pure analog sound.
