CF Martin’s Performing Artists Series combine traditional Martin quality and with simplified electronics that will deliver on stage where it counts! Order yours from Sam Ash Direct today.

The CF Martin GPCPA4 Acoustic Electric Guitar is the continuation of a tradition of fine American hand crafted guitars dating back to the founding of the C.F. Martin & Company in 1833. Introduced by Martin CEO, Chris Martin IV, the Martin GPCPA4 Performing Artist Series model is the latest way to get that famous Martin tone and craftsmanship at an affordable price.

The CF Martin GPCPA4 Acoustic-Electric Guitar boasts a bookmatched solid Sitka Spruce soundboard with Martin’s “X” scalloped bracing. The GPCPA4 sporting the Martin Grand Performance body style, has a slightly smaller body that is similar to the dreadnought shape of the DCPA4 model, yet delivers that characteristic big dreadnought tone. The back and sides are constructed from African sapele, which possesses a similar aesthetic and tone as mahogany. The slim taper neck with a Black Richlite fingerboard and traditional dot inlays will feel comfortable in your fretting hand. The DCPA4 sports a single cutaway body design that allows for extended range in your lead playing when you need to access those upper register notes.

While the Martin GPCPA4 is made with the finest original tonewoods, Martin is sensitive to the environmental issues of the rare hardwoods used in the traditional fingerboard. Richlite is an environmentally sustainable dense material made from renewable wood resources. Hard enough that it is used as a commercial kitchen countertop, it makes an environmentally responsible alternative to Rosewood and Ebony.

The CF Martin DCPA4 also features the easy to operate Fishman F1 Analog electronics system. Pickup system includes Sonicore under-saddle transducer with convenient side mounted volume and tone controls and on-board chromatic tuner.

Finally, the GPCPA4 Acoustic-Electric Guitar comes with a Martin 345PA Brown Hardshell plush-lined case when you’re ready to hit the road!

Comments about Martin GPCPA4 Performing Artist Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Match this with a Fishman SA220 and you have a powerhouse sound as an acoustic singer/songwriter. The product is solid, sounds great, came out of the case with a good setup. The only 2 problems that I have is the angle of the tuner window occasionally is hard to see so I have attached an external tuner on the headstock which is easier to see. Also, the cord plug is offset and gets in the way of the guitar strap. I would rather have the chord go into the strap lock. Neither of these two items is a killer, but makes it a 4 start vs. 5 star rating for me.

Love this guitar best first investment I ever made on a big name brand guitar its true what they say you get for what you pay work I think this guitar is the perfect balance of everything

the 3,000 GPCPA1 is the same thing except laminated and pearl on the fret board save the money unless you love the looks...but it does also have a digital tuner lol and can do way much more then the analog version

Comments about Martin GPCPA4 Performing Artist Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Picked up this nice Martin at my local Sam Ash in Raleigh NC. This is an incredibly versatile guitar. I'm anxious to try some different style strings, maybe some 80-20's just to see the different sounds the guitar will yield. The sepele back and sides does not have rosewood style bass but the mids and highs are even, clear and great sounding. It's also a great value!
