A 12-string version of Martin's flagship dreadnought model, the D12-28 boasts a solid Sitka spruce soundboard with standard "X" bracing and beautifully bookmatched solid East Indian rosewood back & sides to deliver a full-bodied voice with a gorgeous 12-string shimmer. For exceptional playability despite its extended 1-7/8" width, the mahogany neck is carved into the comfortable low profile shape and supports a 20-fret fingerboard of solid black ebony. The dovetail neck joint provides optimum strength, great action and free-flowing tone.

Catering to the old-school Martin vibe, the D12-28 sports traditional Style 28 appointments including a rosette, back purfling and fingerboard inlays. Additional highlights include chrome enclosed tuning machines, a solid black ebony bridge with a 16"-radius compensated bone saddle, a bone nut and a black pickguard. The Martin D12-28 comes with the full protection of a hardshell case.

Comments about Martin D1228 12 String Acoustic Guitar:

I have several guitars of distinction, including a 50 year old Hummingbird, and a fresh D-28 6 string, which I love.. but this 12 is so rich and vibrant not to mention easy to play, yes that's right easy to handle, very compliant.
You have to treat her like a lady and oh man does it open up for you. I find it hard to put down the sound is so magical, and the sustain goes on forever. It is not for everyone but if you ever had doubts as to which 12 string you wanted, look no further this is an heirloom guitar that your grand kids will love in 50 years from now.

Just do it go get one you will not regret it ever!!!

Comments about Martin D1228 12 String Acoustic Guitar:

My 1228 was great right out of the box, and 15 years later it is even better. I use it regularly with church praise team and for home recording.
