The DSL40C is ultra portable, ultra loud, and ultra Marshall.

The critically acclaimed Marshall DSL40C shares most of the same great features as the DSL100H: footswitchable classic/ultra gain channels, rear panel pentode/triode switch (40-watt down to 20-watt) and a rear panel series FX loop.

Unlike the Marshall JCM2000 DSL amps, the DSL40C features footswitchable digital reverb – channel change and reverb on/off footswitch is supplied. The popularity of the DSL40C lies in its feature-packed capability, versatility, its volume-to-size ratio, and its value for money.

The DSL40C is loaded with a single 12" 40 Watt Celestion Seventy 80 speaker.

Features:
  • 40 Watt Combo
  • 2 Channels (Classic Gain, Ultra Gain) With Independent Volume/Gain Controls
  • Clean/Crunch Modes for Classic Gain Channel
  • Lead1/Lead2 Modes for Ultra Gain Channel
  • EL34 Valve Power Stage
  • Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence Controls
  • Tone Shift Button
  • Variable Resonance Control
  • Pentode/Triode Switch
  • 2 Custom Voiced Digital Reverb Controls (one for each channel)
  • Footswitch Included (for channel change and reverb on/off)
  • 12” Custom Voiced Celestion 70/80 Speaker

A great amp for my uses. It gives me the tone and flexibility I wanted after carefully comparing Vox, Fender and Marshall. I use it primarily for home. Thanks to the triode switch I can take advantage of its abilities without irritating the neighbors.

Comments about Marshall Dsl40c 40-Watt 1X12" Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

What's to say about Marshall that hasn't already been said over its reign on amplification since the beginning?
As a 40 watt combo, this amp gives the same great tone of a DSL100 head with just a little more control. Its full potential starts to break around 4 on the dial knob and that's when you can start to hear it sing. Its gain channel is powerful and its clean channel is really sweet. If you're looking for a combo amp and love that british rock tone, this is surely the amp for you.

I recorded this amp a few times with a friends of mine that plays guitar. This amp is well built and solid but most importantly.....it sounds great. Very responsive to changes in Volume and Tone from the guitar. One of the best amps you can get in the price range! This is a real hands on product review from John @samash.com

Comments about Marshall Dsl40c 40-Watt 1X12" Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

For a 1x12, this thing can get LOUD. It really does sound great, though. Whether you are recording or using it for a small gig, this amp will get it. I mic'd it up in the studio and it really blew me away on clean AND distorted. Serious tone! This is a real hands on review from Bryan at Sam Ash Dallas.

            Classic Marshall tone

Comments about Marshall Dsl40c 40-Watt 1X12" Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

This 40-watt (switchable to 20 watt) Marshall is everything you would want and more. The standout features are the separate reverb for each channel as well as the pentode/triode switch for wattage selection. FX loop on rear panel as well. The clean sings like a classic, and the overdrive channels are exactly what you want and expect from Marshall. Overall a great buy!!

This is a real hands on product review from Christian @ Sam Ash Columbus.

This Marshall DSL rocks hard and is loud enough for most stages.
The classic clean Marshall tube sound is fantastic and a great host for any pedals. Switching to the Ultra -Gain channel my Les Paul was instantly cranked into ZZ Top territory.....lots of La Grangey harmonic richness from the 12" speaker. A killer feature is the switch that allows you to cut the power in half down to 20 watts for smaller spaces and recording,

As a lifelong fan of arena rock Marshall Stack power I have to say that this little beast has the guts to fill up any md sized venue to small theatre. The amp is a two channel combo with clean and gain that is pronounced and defined. The Celestion is a 1x12 speaker with a closed back and grill to let the amp breath . The sound is raw and powerful for those looking for a combo to possibly substitute bigger amps that are hard to carry around at times such as a half stack .Its affordable and good for a variety of uses from studio to performance .
