The Wampler Heritage Series pedals are not your ordinary overdrive pedals. Each pedal represents an important piece of music history, paying homage to the tones that became the cornerstone of modern guitar sound.
The Wampler Thirty Something is crafted to faithfully emulate the classic chime and exceptional clarity of one of the most highly coveted vintage tube amplifiers of all time. Many bands and artists such as The Beatles, U2, Brad Paisley, The Shadows and Brian May of Queen have embraced the distinctive voice of these amps. The Wampler Thirty Something has a beautifully clear and concise treble response that'll cut through mix. When the overdrive is pushed hard (with the boost switch activated) the sound fattens up in the midrange while maintaining enough tonal clarity to hear every string to ring though.
Just as you'd expect from a Heritage Series Wampler pedal, the Thirty Something delivers that authentic tone with incredible accuracy. The EQ boasts a Top Cut (not an inverted treble boost), that reacts and removes the same spectrum of frequencies that you would expect from the originals. Switchable gain stages allow for a much clearer tone right up to that beautiful, almost regal overdrive. Inside the Thirty Something is a trim pot that will adjust the input gain; so if you're using a guitar with hotter pickups, dropping this back a bit will provide you with a true clean tone.
