The Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe brings back an iconic classic that was first unveiled in 1972. This modern-day classic features a basswood body. The electronics recreate the original specs of the 1972 version. The Telecaster Deluxe was produced in an effort to compete with other famous electrics that feature humbucking pickups. Fender introduced their version of the humbucker; resulting in the Wide Range pickup, designed by Seth Lover. The Wide Range Humbucker produces a bright, unique sound with power to spare. This Telecaster sports a pair of these powerful humbuckers and possesses a very unique voice and has been heavily associated with some of rock & roll’s most enduring icons.
The Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster Deluxe boasts a maple neck and vintage-style tuners. The neck features a ‘70s-style “large headstock” employed on Stratocasters of this period, and carved into a C-shaped profile. The fingerboard features 21 frets and a 9.5” radius. Other features include a three-position switch, three-ply Black/White/Black pickguard, vintage-style strings-through-body Strat-style hardtail bridge; skirted amp control knobs and chrome hardware. Case not included.
