Comments about Asterope Pro Studio 1/4" Right to Straight:
This cable came highly recommended so I wanted to hear the difference myself. Plugging an electric archtop into a mixing board with monitors there was an immediate difference in sound compared to the regular cables I was using. Even compared to the shortest cable I was using, the amount of bass and lower mid clarity with the fishman cable was clear and noticeable. It's like there was an eq change with bass boost.
However, when I plugged a Gibson 339 into a ZT lunchbox amp the difference in sound was just barely noticeable... So I can understand why people might say these cables don't make a difference...it depends on the equipment you're using. The increase in clarity seems to be mainly in the lower end (to my ears)... so acoustic guitars and bass players will notice right away, and electric guitars playing through large cabinets or acoustic amps will hear a difference.. But for electrics playing thru small combos you can probably skip the fancy cable for now.
