The smallest and most expressive guitar in the Classic Series, the RainSong OM1000N2 Orchestra Model features an all-graphite body and all-graphite soundboard that's crafted using RainSong's trademark Projection Tuned Layering for surprising volume, projection and punch. The OM1000N2 has an amazing dynamic range, incredible tonal balance, gorgeous trebles, and superb note clarity and articulation. The small, ergonomically curved body and lightweight design makes the OM1000N2 incredibly comfortable to hold while the ultra-deep cutaway provides enhanced upper-fret access. Fingerstylists and flatpickers will love the OM1000N2. A high-gloss, clear urethane UV protective finish and a striking abalone rosette cater to the elegance of the OM1000N2.
The all-graphite neck and composite fingerboard are made using RainSong's trademark Performance Shape Casting as a single piece. The neck is adorned with custom shark inlays which offers an elegant aesthetic touch. Through extensive collaboration between RainSong, distinguished artist Steve Miller and Master Luthier John Bolin, RainSong is proud to offer the N2 neck. This neck features a design based the old-school modified "U" profile, which offers enhanced player comfort while optimizing the transfer of string vibration to the soundboard. Although graphite does not bow or warp with humidity and temperature changes, the N2 neck sports a headstock-accessible truss rod which allows for customization of the relief to suit players' individual preferences. For superior tuning stability and exceptional performance, the OM1000N2 comes equipped with a set of chrome-plated Gotoh tuners featuring a 1:18 gear ratio along with a Tusq nut, saddle and bridge pins. In addition to all of that, the RainSong OM1000N2 is ready to take on any performance situation thanks to onboard Fishman Prefix+T electronics with integrated tuner. Comes with the full protection of a customized hardshell case.

Comments about RainSong OM1000N2 Orchestra Model Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
Sounds GREAT unplugged AND plugged in. Really good, clean bottom end from such a small box. Stays in tune, up & down the neck, with and w/o a capo, for days on end sometimes. Fishman preamp is sophisticated but user friendly, very fast to get where you want to go. No wood surfaces & uncanny light weight take some getting used to, but if you let your ears be the judge, this guitar sort of embarrasses a lot of more famous (and more expensive) competitors. I had never heard of Rainsong when i started shopping, but I ended up owning one because it sounded better than everything else I tried. The fact that it doesn't mind the weather or spending all day every day on a nearby guitar stand (so you can pick it up and play it every time you walk by) is just an added bonus. I'm primarily a bare hands, finger style player w/short nails, and this guitar loves that. It has no pick guard, so flat pickers will need to grab an after market, static cling vinyl guard. Nothing really wrong w/the case btw, just sort of typical considering how unusual & special the guitar is.
