  • Description

With the Kawai MP7, you can play the sounds as they are, or use Kawai’s powerful Virtual Technician to customize it to your tastes. The RH2 keyboard action also reproduces the subtle let-off sensation felt when playing the keys of a grand piano very softly, enhancing delicate pianissimo playing to satisfy the expectations of even the most advanced pianists. The action features Kawai’s Ivory Touch key surfaces, a finely textured material gently absorbs moisture to assist playing control and a natural, matte finish that is smooth, but not slippery.

Kawai's classic, hand-made EX Concert grand is preserved in the MP11, not by stretching the one recorded key over several different notes, but by recording each key individually, at various different volumes and dynamics, faithfully reproduced using proprietary Harmonic Imaging™ XL technology, accurately recreates the broad dynamic range of the original grand piano, giving you expressiveness ranging from the softest pianissimo to the strongest, boldest fortissimo, with separate variations for Concert, Pop, and Jazz playing.

The MP7 also features an excellent selection of vintage electric piano sounds, each with their own distinctive characteristics. Enjoy their natural, organic sound, or use a wide variety of classic effects, amps and speaker cabinets with realistic microphone character and position modeling.

The new tonewheel organ simulation comes features nine real-time adjustable drawbars and authentic percussion controls. Dial-in your own  settings, adjust the ‘condition’ of the organ tone, and select the rotary speaker character, then store it all to memory.

The control panel is clear and intuitive. A large LCD display and four assignable control knobs let you to adjust several parameters directly in real-time, without getting lost in menus. Focus on your music instead of remembering which button does what.

The MP7 allows every sound, knob position, fader level, and adjustable parameter to be stored as a SETUP and recalled with one button. USB connectors not only allow you connect to a computer, but also to memory devices directly for sounds, SETUPs, and songs stored in internal memory. USB memory devices can also play back MP3 or WAV audio or SMF MIDI files

Comments about Kawai Mp7 88-Key Digital Stage Piano:

Seems to be good stage piano but I have a key (D4) going dead on me after playing for about 5 minutes everytime I turn it on. Ive only had it a week and was trying to get used to it before i gigged it. Glad it didn't happen on a gig I guess. Huge hassle now to get it repaired or shipped back. Plus I just sold my old super reliable RD300NX that was in perfect condition for this.
