Squier's Classic Vibe '70s Precision Bass takes you back to the decade in which the Precision Bass cemented its place in music history. As popular music began to expand stylistically, so did the Precision Bass. Though already an iconic instrument and an industry standard at that point; players of all genres began to incorporate their "P Basses" in to their style. Whether it was progressive rock, country, or the rising metal and punk movements, the Precision Bass was embedded in the sound and style.
Features also include a basswood body, with the same contours you know and love, outfitted with the classic split single-coil pickup that made players put down their acoustic basses and never look back. Squier added a new twist to an old style by incorporating the Jazz Bass style block inlays and black binding on the fingerboard to the 1 piece C-shaped maple neck. This neck features a comfortable 9.5" radius and 20 vintage-style frets. Other vintage-style appointments include a bass-side thumb rest (first adopted in 1974), three-ply black-white-black pickguard, Laser Engraved Squier Neckplate, knurled dome control knobs (volume, tone), Four-saddle Hi-Mass bridge with brass “barrel” saddles and vintage-style tuners.
