Comments about Peavey Pv231eq Dual 31 Band Graphic Equalizer:

Bought this to replace an older very scratchy peavey eq on my FOH run. Don't know if I got a bad one or what but right out of the box this thing adds so much white noise to the signal I might as well be using a noise generator. When all sliders are set to middle (flat), the hiss is terrible. And get this, when I cut the lows from 100hz and lower down, the hiss actually gets louder. Huh? Both channels do the same thing.

Sorry Peavey but this thing's a dud. I am sending it back tomorrow. I have 3 Behringer 3102's I use on my monitor runs and those things are dead silent. Looks like I'm getting another 3102 for the mains.
