Equipped with a USB audio interface & state-of-the-art SPX Digital Effects, the Yamaha MG10XU gives you the tools you need to produce high quality sound that is uniquely your own.

When was the last time you heard a guitar without EQ or a completely unprocessed vocal on one of your favorite songs? Probably never. Yamaha mixers are famous for their flat response and sonic purity, but it often takes more than a perfectly-captured instrumental performance or vocal to achieve a professional-sounding mix.

24-bit /192kHz 2-in/2-out USB Audio Interface Function
MG Series mixing consoles feature flexible digital connectivity for quick and easy highresolution playback of digital content. Simply connect to your PC via USB, or to your iPhone / iPad (2 or later) using Apple's Camera Connection Kit / Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. The USB protocol uses asynchronous data transfer. Audio data is transferred based on highly precise audio clock signal from the MG, for high quality recording and playback.

Built-in SPX Digital Effects
For musical and non-musical applications alike, effects processing adds polish and professionalism to the mix. The MG10XU models feature Yamaha's acclaimed SPX digital multi-effect processor, offering a comprehensive suite of 24 editable digital effects perfect for enhancing your mix, whether adding depth to a speaking engagement or breathing new color and atmosphere into a live band performance. In particular, the high-quality reverb and delay expand the spatial quality of the sound with remarkable realism and naturalness. You can even connect an optional FC5 foot switch for effect on / off control.

D-PRE (Discrete Class-A Mic Preamps)
Delivering fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs, with very low distortion, D-PRE preamps possess an impressively wide frequency range that allow them to handle signal from any audio source without overly amplifying any specific elements of the sound. Having such a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time and effort by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to "fix" your mix.

EQ and High-pass Filters
The Yamaha MG10 benefits from Yamaha's unparalleled experience in designing pro audio gear, featuring 3-band equalizers on all mono channels for precise control of your sound. High-pass filter allows you to eliminate unwanted low-frequency noise, for a smoother, cleaner mix.

Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch
The input channel with PAD switch accepts MIC to line level of inputs, PAD Switch attenuates high input signals that often accompany mic'ed instruments during performance, avoiding the clippingthat can seriously affect your mix.

Cubase AI
The MG10XU comes bundled with Downloadable Steinberg’s Cubase AI software. As one of the most advanced, comprehensive DAW suites available, Steinberg's Cubase has led the charge, providing users with a powerful and flexible platform for music production. Cubase AI offers these same core technologies and interface that have won Cubase worldwide acclaim.

Built to last
The Yamaha MG10 mixers feature a rugged, impact-resistant, powder-coated metal chassis, offering an unrivalled level of durability. With a sleek design contoured for optimal convection cooling, the internal layout separates the power supply from the analog circuitry for superior noise reduction, and further extends the life of the components inside. To further ensure reliable performance, knob control placement above the surface of the chassis diverts any impact or pressure on the knobs to the chassis itself and not the circuit board or components underneath.

High end pots over low end faders, any day.

Comments about Yamaha Mg10xu 10 Channel Mixer With Usb And Spx Effects (New):

I tried two analog mixers with USB from Behringer that were within $30 of this Yamaha unit. The first one had a dead right channel on the headphone out, neither of them were easy to use and I was always adjusting and readjusting the levels to try to keep them from overdriving/distorting active and passive inputs. This Yamaha has pads on channels 1-4, not present on either of the Behringer units I tried. I sent both of them back within a week of arrival. I think I was enamoured with the faders vs pots. But in retrospect, the faders were of low quality compared to the pots on this Yamaha unit. Then there is the intuitive layout of the controls on this machine, with the Behringer units I was constantly having to go back to the (poorly written) user manual to try to figure out how to do anything. Nothing stuck in my memory and that was due to the poor layout I believe, this Yamaha MG10XU is laid out intuitively. I could tell how to use the controls and where to plug in what because of the logical layout, memorized how to do everything I use it for in no time. Looked at the user manual a couple times just to confirm what I thought was the correct procedure from looking at the controls & I/Os. Memorizing how to use this was nearly immediate due to the logical and intuitive layout. So, all that glitters is not gold and I'll trade low end faders for high end pots and an intuitive layout any day.

Comments about Yamaha Mg10xu 10 Channel Mixer With Usb And Spx Effects (New):

I bought this for one-man-band performances and as my first audio interface. the included Cubase AI is quite sufficient for basic recording and production: okay instruments, okay latency, great features (easy to use and efficient). But, from the start I've been having technical issues with input and audio output from Cubase or the mixer--I don't know which. after extensive technical support over the phone from their good technicians, they told me to send it to see if it needs repairs. that's where I am now. ALSO, yesterday I was using it for rehearsal and some of the digital effects controls stopped working completely--I couldn't change the effect except turn it on and off and the "on" light stayed on. after turning it off and on it was fine. Im surprised bec Yamaha has a good reputation; maybe this is just a rare occurrence.

Comments about Yamaha Mg10xu 10 Channel Mixer With Usb And Spx Effects (New):

The Yamaha MG10XU is a great board if your looking to gain more control of your of you live performances, and effects to your mix, or even record you band at home. This board comes with 24 editable digital effects which are easy to add to any channel on the board and can help to take your sound to the next level without buying at ton of outboard effects. It's small and very portable making it the perfect choice for bands who play out and would like to take control of their sound. As well, it has a 24-bit 192kHz 2 in 2 out USB interface built in, so you can use it for all your home recording! Great multipurpose piece of equipment. 5 stars.

10 channels, 4 mic pre's, and the ability to use as an interface? That alone is worth the cost to those in the A/V world (hotels) or working bands. We found the audio quality to be solid during our free Saturday morning recording classes. Fantastic.

Comments about Yamaha Mg10xu 10 Channel Mixer With Usb And Spx Effects (New):

A nice little mixer. I've used this as a submixer for live shows before and it was great. Only real complaint is that the levels use knobs and not faders, but with faders I suppose it'd have to be a bigger package. In general it's got great sound, pretty decent eq, and the onboard effects are actually pretty useful! Great choice if you need to run some small gigs.

This is perfect for mixing things in your rehearsal studio or playing out with a small project. And when you want to record it, all you have to do is plug in your laptop. You don't even need to rewire everything. It's good like it is.
