Packed to the max with more features and functions than you can shake a drumstick at, the Samson MixPad MXP 124 FX represents a whole new value in compact mixers.

Comments about Samson MixPad MXP 124 Compact 12-Input Analog Mixer:

Samson's new MIXPAD line is fantastic! I have used this product to do some live recording and it offers great control for your sound when recording USB to your computer. You not only have compression on a couple of channels (great for vocals or that unruly snare) but some built in effects to use live. I wouldn't use the effects if you are recording with it, unless you are recording a live show. I always find it frustrating to have tracks with effects on them when I am trying to mix in a DAW. Overall a great product and great for the musicians wanting a affordable way to multitrack some demos.

Comments about Samson MixPad MXP 124 Compact 12-Input Analog Mixer:

Mixpad from Samson is the new kid on the black but the quality you demand in a small format mixer is still there 100%. 4 XLRs with 4 stereo inputs provide 12 channels of input with compressors on the first 2 XLRs and 4 band eq across the first 4. 2 dedicated output mixes provide a main or monitor mix. Simplicity and quality at its best.

This is a hands on review from Boz @ Sam Ash Richmond

Comments about Samson MixPad MXP 124 Compact 12-Input Analog Mixer:

This small Samson mixer is great for multiple situations. Ideal for singer-songwriters looking to have the ability to offer live sound in venues that do not, as well as small church bands and even larger corporate meeting halls. Great for anyone just getting into live sound or professionals seeking more mobile mixer solutions. Faders and controls are very solid and durable. At this cost, you can afford those nice speakers you were checking out...

Comments about Samson MixPad MXP 124 Compact 12-Input Analog Mixer:

This is a very inexpensive, high quality mixer that gives you 3 XLR inputs and faders, as opposed to the knobs that the other options in this price range net you. Everyone likes faders, they're easier to quickly glance at and see where the levels are set. The Mix Pad has very short throw faders in an attempt to keep the unit compact enough for a stripped down, singer/songwriter coffee house type gig.

When looking for a board under $100, this one beats the rest hands down. When comparing models, this one not only has twice as many mic inputs, but it also comes with an on-board compressor on two channels! that's crazy, you never see compressors on boards [unless they're samson ;) ]. The board is simple, to the point, and gets the job done! If you need more channel, it's big brother, the p144 is even better!
