You are looking at a Gibson Custom Limited Run Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar, serial number CS701475. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (8 lbs, 10.8 oz.)

The Les Paul model was first introduced in 1952, and provided the fundamental template for the design of what would eventually become the most highly coveted stringed instrument in the world. In addition, Gibson president Ted McCarty and Les Paul also sought to introduce a "deluxe version" of the Les Paul. Although the initial goal was to introduce the "deluxe" version of the Les Paul in conjunction with the original Les Paul in 1952, Gibson's strive to achieve excellence resulted in several unexpected delays. Just two years after the introduction of the original Les Paul, the final design for the Les Paul Custom was completed, and in July 1954 , the Les Paul Custom made it's official debut at the Chicago NAMM show.

Today, the Gibson Custom Limited Run Les Paul Custom is made in the image of those mid-1950s models, but have been updated with several modern appointments, giving you a perfect blend of both classic and contemporary features. Crafted from a traditional pairing of tonewoods, a two-piece maple top is fitted to the solid mahogany body of the Les Paul Custom. Catering to its top-shelf aesthetic, the top and back are both adorned with a sleek, timeless Ebony finish and boast multi-ply bindings. The solid mahogany neck is shaped into a medium C profile and features a traditional long tenon neck joint and a 24-3/4" scale length. The bound richlite fingerboard houses 22 medium-jumbo frets and showcases elegant pearl block inlays.

The Limited Run Les Paul Custom comes loaded with a set of perfectly matched modern Gibson pickups. A 490R pickup sits in the neck position to faithfully emulate the tone of those sought after original PAF pickups, while the 498T in the bridge position swaps out the 490R's Alnico II magnet for an Alnico V magnet, making it slightly hotter with emphasis on the mids and trebles—perfect or lead riffs and solos.

As you'd expect, the Limited Run Les Paul Custom comes equipped with all-gold hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge, a stopbar tailpiece, and a set of Grover Kidney tuning machines. Rounding out this classy package is a multi-layer pickguard and a multi-bound headstock flaunting the prominent, genuine mother-of-pearl five-piece split diamond inlay. Comes complete with a hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.
