With the 88-key Yamaha MOXF8, musicians in every genre and level can easily enjoy truly high-quality sounds and advanced functions in creating and performing music.

Yamaha has updated the popular MOX Series with the latest Motif XF technology by adding the XF’s sounds and effects and even a Flash Board option slot. Because it’s compatible with Motif XF and MOX data, there is a huge collection of sound and sample libraries and optional software available right away.  The MOXF has all the abilities you need - compatibility, expandability, portability, and affordability. It brings MOTIF XF music production power to a whole new generation of players and producers.

Extraordinarily high-quality sound for a variety of applications
The MOXF6/MOXF8 draws on the high-quality sound of the famed MOTIF XF, used extensively by artists worldwide, and is equipped with a wide range of dynamic sounds for use in virtually any music application. Furthermore, in one of the most important advantages of the MOXF, an optional Flash Memory Expansion Board can be installed. This feature was included in response to many and repeated requests from power users. Now, Sample (audio) data remains on the board, even when the power is turned off—allowing you to instantly use Waveforms containing Samples when you turn the power back on, without the need to load them from an external USB storage device.

Instant, smooth translation from inspiration to final music composition
The MOXF6/MOXF8 features a powerful Performance Creator function which lets you combine your favorite Voice with other Voices and drum parts, and perform with full rhythmic and chordal backing. You can also record your performances as a Song or Pattern, simply by pressing the [REC] button from Performance mode—and then, after recording, automatically move to the Song/Pattern mode for further editing, refining and completing the Song or Pattern. This workflow is exceptionally smooth and transparent, and lets you create music quickly and easily as the inspiration hits.

Seamless music production with Cubase
The MOXF6/MOXF8 were developed giving maximum consideration to integration with the Cubase series DAW software made by Steinberg. We’ve enhanced and strengthened the remote control function in connection with Cubase, letting you easily and conveniently control optional parameters on Cubase with the AI KNOB, or by using control templates compatible with various VST instruments to easily control multiple parameters and complex operations on software synthesizers directly from your hardware synthesizer keyboard.

Stylish design and professional look
Yamaha also designed the stylish exterior to reflect the professional-level sounds and sophisticated features of the MOXF6/MOXF8, making it an instrument you’ll love to play, and one you’ll feel proud in showing off onstage. Moreover, its value as a live performance instrument is made even greater by its portability. They also took particular care in designing the size and external appearance to make it easy to use, even when combined in a computer music system.

Comments about Yamaha Moxf8 88-Key Music Production Synthesizer:

I'm still just scratching the surface on the MIDI capabilities and combining sounds into layers and splits and recording, but HOLY COW does this thing sound and feel good to play. I have rediscovered my love of just sitting at the piano and playing - anything from classical to pop and some modest jazz. For hours. The keys are beautifully weighted/graded and I can get so much expression out of this instrument - I feel like I'm sitting at a real grand piano. I'm in piano heaven. I have to stop myself from just playing to take time to call up some videos and the online manual to tackle the learning curves on the other features. (And I have to sleep/eat sometimes.) I'm not a MIDI pro (have basic knowledge) so it will take me a while to get comfortable with all it can do but am looking so forward to using this to aid my creativity, as a solo performer, composer, accompanist, and arranger for various types of ensembles.

Comments about Yamaha Moxf8 88-Key Music Production Synthesizer:

Fancy the Motif sound but don't care for the tweaking? Want to just dive right in and play? This would be the Keyboard Workstation for you! It's a preset user's dream, with accessible sounds presented right away. The fully weighted keybed also provide a genuine feel so keyboardists can transition to piano and vice-versa.

While limited in sound design, there is a certain depth to tweaking the provided sounds where users are able to modify a sound to taste, even to the point where it won't sound much like the default.

However, to dismiss this beast as a stage keyboard only would be a travesty! This machine is able to fully function as a workstation/arranger with top class sounds that are song ready, easily exported to a DAW of choice for post editing. If you are a Cubase user, then integration is especially tight with exclusive features to ease the workflow so the user can focus on music creation.

Whether your intention is to use the keyboard for live applications or studio use, the Yamaha MOXF88 is sure to satisfy.

Motif sounds at a great price

Comments about Yamaha Moxf8 88-Key Music Production Synthesizer:

The Yamaha Motif is one of the most wanted keyboards out there in the market but for some the price point is a bit to high. Here is where the MOXF8 comes into play. All of the quality and amazing sounds and tones that you get from the Motif is in the MOXF8 but at a price that is much more affordable for the casual player. You have over 1000 different sounds at your fingers tips and the layout of of the synth makes each and every one of those sounds easy to get to. Perfect for both the studio and live.

Comments about Yamaha Moxf8 88-Key Music Production Synthesizer:

Yamaha has never disappointed with the quality and usability of their workstations, and this is no exception. The key response is fantastic, navigating the menus is simple, and the sound quality and selection is great. If you are a solo musician or if you just want to set up some tracks to solo over, using the built in 16 track sequencer is a breeze and you can have complete songs recorded in no time. This is also a great keyboard for live performances, whether you are using pre-programmed music or not. The range of instruments available at your fingertips is so vast, the MOXF8 becomes an essential tool no matter what style of music you play.
