Yamaha is proud of this Stage Piano, the CP4, which they consider the best they've ever made.

The CP4 is simply the best stage piano Yamaha has ever made.  The CP4 Stage features sounds from Yamaha’s Premium Collection of hand crafted grand pianos including the CFX, CFIIIs and the S6.  Vintage electric pianos complete with Virtual Circuit Modeling stomp box effects and a variety of Bass, Clav, Organ, Strings and Pad sounds from our flagship Motif round out the sound set so you’re ready for any musical situation. Our Graded Hammer Wooden Key action with Synthetic Ivory keys gives you the perfect piano touch and response.

The CP4 Stage’s slim, lightweight design (38 lbs.) combines portability with elegant style   Most importantly, an easy to understand interface with large lighted buttons for splits and layers gives you all the controls you need right at your fingertips and the easy to read, ultra-bright fluorescent display make the CP easy to use even on the darkest stage.

Comments about Yamaha CP4 Stage Piano:

What happened here Yamaha?? I returned the CP4 next day. I was hoping this would be the same quality of the CP50, 5, 1, 33, 300. Wow the quality has gone down dramatically. I know it weighs less but this is just so cheaply made. Nothing has improved including sound and action. the action is good but thats it. just good. The sound sounds like any entry level Yamaha digital piano which is fine for entry level price. this is a very expensive P35 with extra features that do not justify cost. Do be fooled , it looks nice on line, even feels good for a few minutes then you start to realize what a waste of money this piano is. It really should be price the same as Casio's PX line. Come on Yamaha, you used to be the best. Do put out rubbish like the CP4 and try to convince people its the best stage piano you have ever made. Real big mistake with this lasted offering.
