Like its many predicessors in the RD family, the RD800 sounds and feels amazing. It has the SuperNATURAL piano and keys that feel like ebony and ivory. It has an awesome amp simulator and built in FX. It also continues to offer USB A & B for inserting flash memory to store info as well as connect to a computer, making it a MIDI controller.

Comments about Roland RD-800 88-Key Digital Stage Piano:

I must admit I'm a Yamaha enthusiast, but I will certainly give Roland a lot of credit on their new keyboard. The piano sounds sound amazing. I find myself stuck on one sound for hours eventhough I set out to go through the soundbank and experiment.

The Tone color knob makes the whold keyboard and that knob alone is worth the price tag! I love instruments than can give me near endless possiblilities and extreme flexability. This is an absolute must have for serious professional performers are even for beginners who want to learn to drive in a Rolls Royce! Absolutely stunning!

This is an easy and fun keyboard to play. The sound and tone are fantastic. I wish it was a little lighter to make it more portable, but all in all this keyboard sounds like one that should cost more. Comments about Roland RD-800 88-Key Digital Stage Piano:

I cant get over how nice all the new piano sounds are. The new PHA4 action feels much better than my old RD700NX and almost as good as my Yamaha U3 . No more hard bottoming when playing rather passionately. It also has many new sounds that you can actually use. New EPs are so sweet and now easy than ever to adjust that sound that is always so hard to find. Gotta love that Tone Color knob! Roland always seems to know exactly what a professional wants and needs. RD800 proves it for sure.
