The Korg SP-280 Digital Piano gives you the sound and feel of a Grand Piano in a compact portable package. Perfect for dorms, stages, or any location.

Korg’s SP-280 has all the features you expect from a quality Korg Digital Piano in a portable, compact design that is perfect on stage or at home.  The SP-280 comes in black or white and features Korg's Natural Weighted Hammer Action keyboard that provides the feel of an acoustic piano, right down to the fact that the action is heavier in the lower registers.  There are three levels of adjustment so that your playing dynmics will match the pianos you love most.  Korg's latest sound technology gives you all the nuance found in sound of an acoustic piano and even reproduces the damper resonance heard when you press the pedal of an acoustic piano.

Other great sounds
Korg has included all the classic electric piano sounds of the 60s and 70s making the SP-280 the complete digital piano.  In addition, the SP-280 features organs, harpsichords, claviers, strings and more, for 30 sounds in all.  You can layer sounds to play two together and divide the keyboard so that two people can play in the tonal range. Two headphone jacks make it convenient for two people to enjoy playing the SP-280 together.  Three effects, brilliance, reverb, and chorus, round out the great sonic features of the SP-280.

Real Piano Pedal Action
The included damper pedal will function as a half-damper pedal, allowing you to vary the damper effect by how far you press the pedal. The optional pedal unit (PU-2) adds soft and sostenuto pedals in addition to the damper pedal. This gives you the same three pedals as an acoustic piano.

Lightweight design makes transportation easy
Korg built the SP-280 to go anywhere. Including the stand, it weighs less than 42 lbs.

What a nice keyboard by Korg. The weighted keys are amazing and the response is excellent. Perfect for any professional or armature players. The built in amp is nice and full which is what sets this model ahead of the pack. I am a staff reviewer at Sam Ash Music.

This is a great versatile keyboard. It comes with realistic weighted keys that feel like a real piano and sound like one too. The ability to split the keyboard into 2 sections with the same range makes it great for duets or teaching. To supplement this feature it has 2 separate headphone inputs for quiet practice. The addition of other sounds like strings makes this a very versatile portable keyboard.

What makes the Korg SP-280 digital stage piano so great for gigging? It's not just the realistic, responsive grand piano sound, the handful of vintage EPs, or the Natural Weighted Hammer Action keyboard, but the fact that you can quickly set up, tear down, and carry this less-than-42-pound (including the stand), portable piano all by yourself. The super-simple-to-use SP-280 is an instrument equally worthy of keeping at home for practicing or giving lessons. You won't have to scroll through menus or go through a crazy list of effects to get the sound you want -- just sit down and play! The 88-key piano's built-in speaker system ensures that you get stellar room-filling sound, while its dual headphone outputs provide a way to practice quietly with a teacher or friend, for all those times when you'd rather not broadcast your performance to the world. Korg's SP-280 is an excellent choice for any player wanting an affordable, extremely portable yet solidly built digital piano capable of sounding like a real concert grand. Six kinds of Electric Pianos are available, covering the sounds typically heard in '60s and '70s pop, soul music, and more. In addition to acoustic and electric piano sounds, the SP-280 offers the sounds of organs, clavs, harpsichord, strings, and more. A total of 30 are available, giving you more than enough options to suit the music at hand. This amazing keyboard gives you the effects that you really need: brilliance, which adjusts the brightness of the tone; reverb, which simulates the natural ambience (reverberation) of a concert hall; and chorus, which adds spaciousness and depth.

This digital piano has everything you need. It has two on board amps that make performing as easy as plugging into your system. The effects built in give you more control over the sound you want than an acoustic piano. The keys have the response of an acoustic piano as well. And the built in metronome is a convenient touch.
