Featuring Kawai’s famous wooden-key action, the CE220 digital piano offers the finest touch available in a digital piano. With 88-key piano sampling, plus a rugged, yet beautiful cabinet, the CE220 is a great choice in a high-quality digital piano.

The CE220 utilizes Kawai’s acclaimed Progressive Harmonic Imaging Sound Technology to create a very realistic, impressive piano sound. 88-key piano sampling preserves the individual tonal character of each note.

The CE220 offers the finest touch available thanks to the AWA PROII wooden-key, graded-hammer action with counterbalancing.

Keyboard Modes
The Kawai CE220 has both a Dual Mode, in which two sounds are played at the same time, and a Split mode, in which one sound plays on the left side of the keyboard and another sound plays on the right side. A special 4-Hands Mode creates two identical 44-note pianos on the keyboard – great for piano lessons or for duets.

OTHER FEATURES:
  • A convenient Balance Slider on the panel controls the volume balance in a Dual or Split keyboard mode.

  • USB to Device You can save song files to a USB memory stick for transfer to a computer. From there, they can be emailed, edited or scored using appropriate software.

  • Superior Polyphony Best-in-class 192 note max. polyphony lets you to play complex musical passages or layer sounds together without the annoying note drop-out that can occur at lower polyphony levels.

  • Two headphone jacks allow two persons to listen to the piano in privacy.

  • A built-in sliding key covers protects the keyboard from dust and debris when the instrument is not in use.

  • The CE220 offers three pedals – soft, sostenuto, and damper (with half-damper capability) – just like their grand pianos.

Metronome
The handy built-in digital metronome comes with a variety of time signatures and is a perfect practice partner. You can adjust both the tempo and the volume of the metronome. The metronome also features 100 built-in drum rhythms in a variety of musical styles. Tempo and volume of the drum beats can also be controlled.

Piano Music
29 Classical Piano Songs are store in the CE220’s internal memory.  An accompanying music book is also provided.

Recorder
The CE220 offers an easy to use 2-Track / 3-Song recorder, perfect for self-evaluation of your keyboard performances or for capturing a moment of inspiration.

Jacks
Both the MIDI jacks and a second USB jack are useful for connecting with other musical instruments and computers. Line In jacks allow an external audio device, such as an MP3 player, to be heard through the instrument’s speaker system. Line Out jacks let you play through an external sound system or to make a digital audio recording with an external recorder or computer.

Comments about Kawai CE220 Digital Piano (Satin Black):

I've used this model before on a few church gigs, and absolutely love the action and tone. Really natural sounding acoustic tone, and it cops a pretty darn good Rhodes tone too. Love this model!

The Kawai CE220 piano is quality at its finest. Wooden keys with graded hammer action give you an authentic pain feel. Over 20 different piano style sounds at the touch of a button. Built in recorder allows you to record and accompany your own pieces. Best part is the ability to plug this into a computer via usb or take your recorded tracks and bring them into your computer as midi files that can be edited.

Awesome playing digital piano. Feels and sounds realistic! Built in recorder, metronome and USB to device output so you can save your music to a device like a flash drive. Great for teachers or students- has built in dual mode so you can split the piano in half and play like you have 2 44 key pianos side by side.

Comments about Kawai CE220 Digital Piano (Satin Black):

The sound is amazing, very close the real thing. . You wont be able to tell the difference between the sound of a grand piano on a good recording and the sound coming out of the 220. The keys also feel great in the hands, they aren't slick like some of the cheaper keyboards out there. It almost feels BETTER than some acoustic uprights I've played. It also comes with a really nice bench to boot! Overall this product comes reccomended from beginners to pros!
