The Sterling by Music Man MAJ100 Majesty is the result of John Petrucci's unwavering demand for performance, playability, and race-inspired design.

Made to meet the demands of Dream Theater axe man John Petrucci, the JP Majesty MAJ100 was designed for performance, playability, comfort, and tone. Inspired by the sleek design of race cars, the MAJ100 features a distinctively ergonomic basswood body with ultra-deep cutaways. The set mahogany neck allows unfettered fret access throughout. Perfect balance and ultimate playability are but a few hallmarks of this signature masterpiece befitting the legacy of the John Petrucci Signature Series. A smooth-playing 24-fret, 16"-radius rosewood fretboard provides maximum ease of playability.

Electronics feature a pair of Sterling by Music Man designed pickups with "push-push" 12dB active boost for added sonic horsepower. Black chrome hardware includes a set of high-quality locking tuners and a Sterling by Music Man modern tremolo.  Every graceful nuance built into the Majesty is a result of the collaboration between Masters: the Ernie Ball Music Man design team and John Petrucci. The Sterling By Music Man MAJ100 Majesty is without equal in its price point. Includes gig bag.

Got the black one, can't wait to get the red one.

By

from Cleveland, OH.

Ever since Ernie Ball released the Majesty, I was impatiently waiting for Sterling to make their Majesty. Three months after the NAMM announcement, I finally got my hands on this. I've played the EBMM Majesty, and to be quite honest, they feel nearly identical. This guitar is easily one of the best guitars I've ever played and owned. I was super relieved to find it handles very low tunings, as I play metal, mostly. Super easy to set up right out of the box, smooth overall, and very elegant looking. For having Sterling stock pickups, they sound great. If you're looking for a new guitar for anything - live, studio, personal use, I would go with this in a heartbeat. Sterling nailed this one -- can't wait to own the other two!
