Comments about Jean Baptiste JBFLG329 Flugelhorn:

This horn is a great buy for the price. It has good sound quality and good intonation. This horn isn't going to be a replacement for your pro horn, but if you travel or are a beginning player, than this is a worthwhile choice. This horn is a solid build and has great moving valves. For a first horn or for a traveler, this is my suggestion.

Comments about Jean Baptiste JBFLG329 Flugelhorn:

I bought this horn to fill the gap since my pro flugelhorn is being repaired. Not terribly bad, construction is good as is the finish. It just does not have the same playability and sonorous sound you find in pro horns such as the Jupiter, Yamaha and Kanstul flugelhorns. A good horn for a first time flugelhorn player (student), but it is not for the advanced or pro player.

Comments about Jean Baptiste JBFLG329 Flugelhorn:

I purchased this horn a couple of years ago on a whim from my local Sam Ash. I play in a church band and wanted the more mellow sound for slower songs. A trumpet can be brassy. I cannot be happier with my flugelhorn. It is a student model not pro but for the price it is great. Sounds close to a trombone. Since it's a Bb flugel there was no learning curve. It is very lightweight and that might be an issue for someone who is hard on their instruments. Well worth the price IMHO!

Comments about Jean Baptiste JBFLG329 Flugelhorn:

For such a cheap price this really isn't a bad horn. The valves work wonderfully and the tone is really quite good. I'm not saying you should pick this flugel over many others, but if you only want to spend [$] then its not a bad buy.
