Comments about Ibanez SR755 5 String Bass (Brown Sunburst Flat):

I play Rock, Pop, Classical, and Jazz.

Out of the box (all the appropriate boxes through quality control were filled in with somebody's name of initials) the only thing this guitar has going for it is it's extremely good looks. The stock strings are like barbed wire, and the action is too high.
After a string change I found the neck "fall off" too steep at the bridge end so a shim was required in the neck cavity, after removing The neck I found the cavity was full of the drill shavings left from mounting the neck so after a good cleaning and inserting a 1/32 shim at the pick up end of the cavity the strings are equally spaced from nut to bridge (fret to bottom of string) (the nut took some filing too). So for the money, one might want to look to something in the used Warwick or Carvin line. Unless you have the ability to do your own set ups. The hardware and woods are excellent and the tone is great, so all in all it's not a bad buy
