Ibanez’s new heavy metal machine. The RGD Prestige is built for heavy rocking, and for outputting clear sound down to the lowest note without losing playability.

These sleek metal monster guitars are tuned down low and built to reach the highest realms of metal fury. RGD Prestige models feature an ra-long 26.5" scale, Prestige Wizard HP necks and full-step down factory tuning.

The original tuned V7/V8 pickups are mounted and ready to ride. A lot of hard rockers hold their guitars low, and the sharp-shaped RGD body achieves good balance and easier access to high frets for low-slingers. Also includes a hardshell Prestige case.

Features:

•  Basswood body material. 26.5' scale neck and full step down factory tuning
•  Aggressive scoop cuts at body for higher fret playability. 5pc Maple/Wenge bolt-on neck.
•  Customized V77 and V87 pickups for lower tuning setup.
•  Cosmo Black hardware
•  Invisible Shadow Finish.
•  Hardshell Case Included

Things You Will Get:

Comments about Ibanez RGD2127Z RGD Prestige Series 7 String Electric Guitar:

I have a some great 7 string guitars, as well as 6 string too but this 1 beats all 7 strings to the ground!! The downtuning and scale make for a great sound, and surprisingly, the pups sound awesome, giving you a great bottom end while retaining great highs for leads. This has been the best setup I have seen done: normally you have to work with the guitar upon receipt but this one was setup perfectly, low action, no buzz or fret noise, and incredible factory downtuning. Neck is for shredding, it is extremely comfortable. Only 'con' may be the flat color, it gets shiny after hours of play, I play this guitar with sweat wristbands now, but damage shows. Like I said this beats all 7 stringers out there...

Comments about Ibanez RGD2127Z RGD Prestige Series 7 String Electric Guitar:

I play everything from light progressive rock to straight up black metal and this guitar goes the extra mile. My current project is more metalcore and it fits the bill perfectly. I have several high end 7 and 8 string guitars and this quickly became my favorite due to its unique sound, extended scale, fast neck, and aggressive looks.

The only drawback is that I played it so much in the first 3 months that I have visible wear marks on the flat black paint, where it has become shiny. I suppose that is probably the main issue with flat black paint to begin with though.

Overall I'd rate it a 9/10.

My other instruments include: (for comparison)
Ibanez UV777
Ibanez S7420
Ibanes RG2228
ESP EC1000
