Mandolins have been gracing music since the 17th century and their popularity is a testament to their unique, crisp sound. The M522S F-Style Mandolin offers both great tone and quality at an affordable price.

The solid Spruce top of the M522S F-Style Mandolin combined with the gorgeous Flamed Maple back and sides are finely crafted to deliver rich, bright tones and to cater to its elegant aesthetics. The M522S's easy to play Maple neck houses 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard with exquisite pearl block position inlays. The dual enlarged F holes featured on the M522S allows your sound to project and resonate beautifully. Comments about Ibanez M522SBS Mandolin (Sunburst):

Finish is NOT brown sunburst. Horrible tone, sounds like laminate. tuners suck. bridge and nut are junk. Not really functional as a musical instrument. Do not buy this regardless of playing ability. buy only all solid wood mandolins that are professionally set up and pay at least $100 more than [*]. A total waste this thing at any price.

Comments about Ibanez M522SBS Mandolin (Sunburst):

Probably want to have a luthier do set up since this is drop shipped and may present some issues beyond most consumer's expertise. This mandolin is exactly what you pay for, nothing more or less. Might be possible to get a total solid wood competitor at this price which might be worth pursuing.

Comments about Ibanez M522SBS Mandolin (Sunburst):

I play bluegrass mandolin and I am pretty familiar with mandolins. Had I played this one and not known the price I would have said it cost 3 times what this one cost me. Unbeatable sound and playability for the price.
