Without a doubt, your instrument should equal the quality of your effort. At some point the word "boutique" comes to mind: Select-grade materials, neck-thru construction, and top quality components, all in a meticulously crafted instrument. The ability of Ibanez to build small-shop quality into inspiring yet affordable instruments is showcased by BTB series basses.

The Ibanez BTB776PB's 5-piece Maple/Bubinga thru-neck design, along with its extreme cutaways, make every note on the 35" scale fretboard a player's playground. The Ibanez BTB776PB's extra-long 35-inch neck scale offers tight, even tension with no flopping on the low end, and added sustain on the high strings. It also provides superior articulation, making it perfect for both 5 and 6-strings while neck-thru construction provides massive sustain and excellent stability. The BTB's much deeper cutaways allow effortless access to the upper frets.

The Ibanez BTB776PB is equipped with the Mono-Rail bridge system. The Mono-Rail bridge delivers the ultimate in string-to-string isolation, meaning that each string vibrates optimally without be affected by the others. BTB's string spacing is 19mm for 5-strings, and 17mm for 6-strings, offering more freedom on the fretboard, and comfortable access for finger picking and slapping.

The Ibanez BTB776PB features Bartolini pickups with a 3-band EQ with mid frequency switch fine-tuned specifically for the BTB. The active 3-Band EQ features fully independent bass, treble, and mid Controls with a wide boost/cut range. The preamp system is equipped with a mid-frequency select switch, enabling you to instantly select 250Hz and 600Hz - the heart of the mid zone - for a more dynamic and ideal tone.

A Neutrik locking jack provides the Ibanez BTB776PB stable and secure connections, preventing accidental disconnect or shock and vibration. Case not included.

Comments about Ibanez BTB776PB 6-String Electric Bass:

Without sounding like an Ibanez rep, I liked this bass from the minute I picked it up ! And after playing it for a few months I like it even more. This is my first six string. Surprisingly easy to get used to probably because of the spacing but just really fun to play. Nice clear low B .. No dead spots. Neck as straight as an arrow and no fret buzz at all. The eq is really responsive and just a well made instrument .

Comments about Ibanez BTB776PB 6-String Electric Bass:

The bass overall is a good bass. I like the quality build of the bass. I love the bartolini pick ups. It would have been better if the bass had some "EQ or pick up switches" that would have made this bass the best thing out there for the price. I use this bass for all styles of music. Mainly church and r&b. I do not regret getting this bass.

Comments about Ibanez BTB776PB 6-String Electric Bass:

I've been playing electric bass for over 30 years and owned several great basses. My Ibanez BTB776PBAM outshines them all and for about half the price of most of the others.

It not only has incredible looks with its Amber Poplar Burl top, the Bartolini's and 3 band 18v Bartolini pre-amp will give you any kind of tone you could possibly want. I've played jazz gigs, church gigs, latin gigs, rock gigs even country gigs with this bass and I can always dial in the perfect sound every time.

The 5 piece neck, mahogany body and mono-rail bridge give tons of sustain and the 500mm radius neck, low string action and deep body cut-aways make fingerings very fast and the bass itself easy to play. The neck is not too wide or too narrow for most players and every fret is easily accessible.

I've heard some people complain that this bass will eat up batteries. I suppose if you leave your cord plugged into its locking plug jack (neat feature) for hours and hours that's probably true. However, I play my bass a lot (usually every day) and I change my batteries about every six months on average.

It may sound like I'm an Ibanez dealer - believe me I'm not, but I do love this bass. It gives me great looks, great tone and is without a doubt the best gear purchase I've ever made. If my bass were lost or stolen I'd cry for a week and then buy another one in a heartbeat.
