You are looking at a Gibson Custom Collector's Choice #15 Greg Martin 1958 Les Paul Electric Guitar, serial number CC 15A 091. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (8 lbs, 15.4 oz.)

The Gibson Custom's Collector's Choice Series offers players and collector's an exacting replication of a specific, existing vintage Les Paul. Gibson is able to accurately recreate these historic and prized Les Paul's through meticulous examination of every aspect from the original, from precise measurements and specifications, combined that with the unsurpassed craftsmanship you've come to expect from the master luthiers at Gibson Custom. Each of these Collector's Choice guitars embody the tone, feel, looks and character of a particular instrument down to every scratch and ding.

The Collector's Choice #15 is based off of the 1958 Les Paul owned by Kentucky Headhunters lead guitarist, Greg Martin. Martin's 1958 Les Paul has an unmistakable aura that makes this Les Paul stand out among other vintage Les Pauls. In collaboration with Martin himself, the Gibson Custom shop is able to capture every single nuance and detail of this guitar with stunning accuracy.

The body of the Collector's Choice #15 Greg Martin 1958 Les Paul is crafted from a single piece of lightweight, solid mahogany for the back combined with a lightly figured maple for the top that's been hand-selected to perfectly mirror the figuring of the original's top. The body also features that acclaimed “Dirty Lemon” finish thats faded and aged by hand with the exact wear patterns on Martin's own Les Paul. The solid quarter-sawn mahogany neck is carved into the precise measurements of the neck of the original (a rounded profile that's not too chunky) and features a one-piece rosewood fingerboard with aged trapezoid inlays.

Just as every other aspect of the Collector's Choice #15, the pickups have also been thoroughly studied and measured by the Gibson Custom Shop in order to emulate the authentic tone of the original. These custom-wound Custom Bucker pickups are made with Alnico III magnets, with coils scatter-wound to precise specifications and wax potted to deliver the big, bold tone of Martin's own 1958 Les Paul.

The Collector's Choice #15 Greg Martin 1958 Les Paul benefits from Gibson's period-correct 20th Anniversary Historic Specifications which includes a hot hide glue neck joint, accurate fingerboard and body binding color, a no-tubing historic truss rod assembly, and genuine aniline dye, specially mixed to produce the accurate coloring along the entire guitar. The nickel-plated hardware has also been aged in the appearance of the original, inlcluding period-accurate reissue Kluson Deluxe “green-key” tuning machines, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece.

Each of the hand-aged, meticulously crafted Collector's Choice #15 Greg Martin 1958 Les Paul come with the full protection of a Custom Shop hardshell case and include a leather-bound tri-fold Certificate of Authenticity. The very limited production of a mere 300 units poses a rare opportunity for you Les Paul players and enthusiasts – now's the perfect chance for you to get your hands on a perfect recreation of a classic Les Paul.
