Experience the versatility and classic feel of the new ES-339 Satin Electric Guitar.

Gibson has introduced a new variation on an iconic guitar with the new ES-339 Satin. While retaining many features of its predecessor, the ES-335, Gibson has scaled down the size of the body to dimensions more reminiscent of their solidbody guitars. Those who felt that the ES-335 was not for them because of its large body will definitely re-evaluate once they give the ES-339 Satin a go. You get all the comfort of the small body while retaining all the beautiful tonal qualities of a semi-hollow guitar.

This ES-339 features a semi-hollow maple body with an arched top and classic “F” holes. A solid maple centerblock forms the “core” of the body, which eliminates any potential feedback normally associated with hollow-body guitars when played at high volume.

This modern day classic employs a pair of '57 humbuckers, along with Gibson's famous Memphis Tone Circuit. The Memphis Tone circuitry utilizes 500K audio taper pots that operate with an interactive load that preserves high end as you turn down the volume. The loading effect preserves the full-bodied tone with rich midrange and singing sustain from the '57 Classic humbuckers while adding a very sweet bite.

The 24.75” scale hand-set neck is carved from Mahogany, and features a rosewood fingerboard with a 12” radius. The ES-339’s chrome nickel hardware is rounded out by a Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge/stud tailpiece combo for tuning and intonation stability. A set of Tone Pros Bolt Bushing Kluson Tuners rounds out the hardware . Case included.

Comments about Gibson ES-339 Satin Electric Guitar:

Those looking for a smaller version of the classic ES-335 will like this guitar. the 30/60 neck gives you a little more to hold on to for the first five frets or so, then thins out on the upper frets. Narrower along the entire neck than a 60's slim taper. Very comfortable to play. the 57's are really nice and the tone controls allow for a wide variety of sounds without any volume loss - nice :). Like the feel of the satin finish - especially on the neck. As mentioned above, the reviews are right, access to the highest three frets is somewhat restricted the lower cutaway is pretty narrow and I have longer, but thinner than average fingers. NICE and light - mine is right around 7.5 lbs.
