You are looking at a Gibson ES-295 Scotty Moore Hollow Body Electric Guitar, serial number 55 of 81. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (6 lbs, 10.4 oz.)

Prior to the birth of rock 'n' roll, the original ES-295, introduced in 1952, was considered a “gold standard” jazz box, that is until Scotty Moore got his hands on one in 1953, giving birth to a perfect blend of country and rock. Rockabilly icon, Scotty Moore is most widely known as the guitarist for rock 'n' roll royalty and legend, the king of R'n'R himself, Elvis Presley. This Rock 'N' Roll hall of famer was inducted in 2000 and has also been ranked in 2011 by Rolling Stone magazine as number 44 of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

Gibson did an exceptional job recreating each and every detail of Scotty Moore's coveted ES-295, better known as “The Guitar That Changed The World.” Not only does this guitar have the superb tone, looks and playability by any standard, but this ES-295 will give you a rare piece of rock 'n' roll history at your fingertips.

The body of the ES-295 Scotty Moore features a sharper florentine cutaway, an ES-175 style fully hollow construction with traditional f holes and top, back and sides crafted from laminated maple. To maintain its structural integrity, the arched top features historic spruce braces and cedar rim liners. The ES-295 recreates that distinctive, flashy Gold Bullion finish with incredible accuracy and employs Gibson's VOS treatment for a gently aged appearance and feel. The glued-in neck is carved from quarter-sawn mahogany and topped off with a bound hand-selected dark rosewood fingerboard with aged cellulose split-parallelogram inlays for a traditional look.

The ES-295 Scotty Moore comes loaded with a set of “dog ear” P-90 pickups, created with the originals in mind, to accurately emulate the authentic fat-single coil tone of the original. Since its introduction in the late '40s, the hot, gnarly twang and tone of these pickups have been considered the true tone of rock 'n' roll and are highly sought-after by an endless number of guitarists. Up to spec with the original pickups, these P-90s are each made with Alnico V bar magnets and vintage-spec coil scatter-wound with 42 AWG wire, capturing every growl, roar and bite you desire, yet versatile enough to cover genres from country to jazz and to blues. Tailor your tone to perfection with the onboard 3-way toggle selector switch and each pickups volume and tone controls.

Holding true to the original hardware, the ES-295 Scotty Moore comes equipped with a traditional trapeze tailpiece and an upgraded Melita Synchrosonic adjustable bridge that replaced the original wraparound trapeze bridge. To further cater to the vintage vibe, the headstock is inlaid with the traditional mother-of-pearl crown and boatss a set of vintage-style Kluson single-ring tuning machines with butterscotch tulip buttons. To complete this package, the ES-295 Scotty Moore also features gold speed knobs, a traditional bell truss-rod cover, tan binding, and a clear pickguard back-painted with era-correct floral graphics.

Each of the 81 ES-295 Scotty Moore guitars made worldwide come fully protected by a historic hardshell case and include a certificate of authenticity. Not to mention, each guitar is individually autographed on the lower bout by Moore himself.
