You are looking at a Paul Reed Smith Studio 10-Top Electric Guitar Whale Blue, serial number 202243. This is the actual guitar you will receive should you decide to purchase. (7 lbs, 13.2 oz.)The Paul Reed Smith Studio 10-Top is the perfect blend of versatility, playability and refined beauty. In North America, it's rare to find a maple tree that's ACTUALLY figured, but this Studio is crafted from a carved flame maple top that meets PRS' 10-top status, meaning it exhibits a clear, well-defined figuring across its entirety without “dead” spots in the wood. To accentuate the Studio's gorgeous grain patterns, the top is dressed up in a flattering Whale Blue V12 finish, a thin yet durable finish developed over 12 years ago by Paul Reed Smith which facilitates incredible resonance and is intended as a midpoint between acrylic and nitro for a classic feel. The top is then combined with a mahogany back to produce the best tone of both woods-- clarity across the entire spectrum with a nice, rich low end from mahogany and a little extra bite thanks to maple. The neck is carved from mahogany into Paul Reed Smith's regular pattern profile, offering the comfort of PRS' traditional neck profile from the '80s. The rosewood fingerboard houses 22 frets and features bird inlays to give the Studio that distinctive Paul Reed Smith touch.
