Swing Like a Pro with the Epiphone Swingster!

The Emperor Swingster is Epiphone's dazzling go-to rockabilly, jazz and rock hollowbody classic. It features Epiphone SwingBucker pickups with classic Alnico-V magnets, Grover machine heads, a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge, and best of all, a licensed B30 Bigsby with original style "wire" handle as preferred by "Certified Guitar Player" and legend Chet Atkins.

World famous for making some of the best and most innovative hollow-body guitars, Epiphone conjures up some of its past with the Emperor Swingster. Starting with the same body and neck as used on their Emperor-II guitar and made famous by the jazz master himself, Joe Pass, Epiphone swings into action and turns it into a serious twangin', rock-a-billy slingin', country flingin' machine!

With it's hand-scalloped arched Spruce top combined with a laminated arched-back maple body and glued-in 3-piece Hard maple neck, the Swingster has what it takes to satisfy any professional's demand for great tone.

At the heart of the guitar are Epiphone's SwingBucker pickups and a series/parallel electronics switching package that outperforms all others in its class. Specially designed for the SwingsterT, the humbuckers offer no-hum performance and feature classic Alnico-V magnets, enamel wire and over-wound coils for the perfect combination of warmth and bite. Two push/pull Tone controls allow you to change each pickup's output individually from parallel to series wiring creating a palette of useful sounds to tap into ranging from warm humbuckers to "quacky" single-coil type sounds and everything in-between.

Of course, any swinging machine needs a vibrato and the Swingster is no exception featuring a Bigsby Licensed B30 with original style "wire" handle, a favorite of legends like Chet Atkins and Merle Travis. Topping it all off are Epiphone's trademark, multi-bound headstock with the classic pearloid "vine" inlay, premium Grover 14:1 tuners and a multi-bound, 20 fret rosewood fingerboard with block inlay. Gorgeous! Unlike some, Epiphone spares no expense by adding a "pinned" tune-o-matic bridge with roller saddles for smooth operation and accurate return to pitch that is preferred when using a vibrato. Case not included.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Swingster Electric Guitar:

I was bringing back a guiutar I just didn't love, and the salesman was bringing out this big beautiful orange guitar. I played it, loved the versatile pickups and the Emperor looks . This guitar is very easy to play and I can't put it down. Epiphone has a winner , don't listen to those who say this guitar is a Gretsch clone. They obviously haven't played it yet

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Swingster Electric Guitar:

I ordered this guitar through Sam Ash and it arrived in about five days. It is beautiful but looks aren't everything. The pickups didn't put out a fraction of the power of my Telecasters or Les paul junior with P 90's. I didn't like the way it sounded cranked and the pickups were not full sounding enough on any setting to really work for the Chet Atkins type of stuff. The other reviews I read of this lead me to think this was the be all and end all of EPI guitars but the Casino and Wildcat are both better sounding in my opinion. I sent mine back and the good folks at Sam Ash didn't fuss about it.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Swingster Electric Guitar:

When I went to a local epiphone dealer I saw this guitar to try a hallow body. When I started playing this beauty I was amazed. It provided tones for smooth solos, but also a punch for rock and a crisp clean. I somewhat abused the bigsby but I never once got out of tune. I think the only thing I don't like much about this guitar is the 20 frets. I usually prefer 22 but heck I'll live with it. Other than that this guitar is a great instrument of tone, looks, and personality.

Comments about Epiphone Emperor Swingster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is so versatile that you could use it as a chair, eat dinner off it, or even drive it. I love this guitar, I own a 56 reissue lp with soap bar p90s, sg with bigsby and seymour duncan phat cats, all epiphones and this by far is the best one yet. It sounds good no matter what I play it through. You cant go wrong with this guitar. the sunrise orange looks great.
