The Gibson Dirty Fingers™ pickup comes with a four-conductor lead and is wax potted to eliminate unwanted microphonic feedback

Gibson's Gear division offers the extreme-output Dirty Fingers™ bridge pickups as replacement units that will max out the attitude factor on any electric guitar. Once described in Gibson Guitar literature as "The critical union between power and dirt," the Dirty Fingers has returned after a 20-year silence on the Tom DeLonge Signature model.

DeLonge, frontman for alt-punk group blink-182, was given some sample pickups to spec for his signature model and he chose the Dirty Fingers. "The Dirty Fingers was so loud and so obnoxious. but you try it now and it's crazy," says DeLonge. "It's awesome. It sounds so good. It has so much more clarity and volume and a much wider sound... I instantly fell in love with it." Because of its aggressive tone Dirty Fingers™ pickups will also appeal to those who play tuned down nu-metal.

The Dirty Fingers™ pickup comes with a four-conductor lead and is wax potted to eliminate unwanted microphonic feedback. And as with all Gibson replacement pickups, it's backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Comments about Gibson Dirty Fingers (Black):

This is one of the greatest pickups if you love distortion. It also sounds amazing clear. But on distortion this pickups drives every note beautifully. If your into any type of modern rock or alternative music this pickup sounds right on that genre line. Dirty fingers is my bridge pickup and made my guitar just sound better. Also dirty fingers has made my band sound has if on stage we are using 4 gibsons but we just have two its that loud. best thing is that amps dont have to be cranked up to ten to get a great sound out of them so it's also good for indoor practicing.

Comments about Gibson Dirty Fingers (Black):

The gibson dirty fingers is a great overall pickup. It's very punchy, and really in your face. It is very sensitive with the volume knob. On 10 i can play metal riffs, on 5 I can ply more classic rock stuff. of course it really depends on your amp though. It is bright, very bright. i will usually play in D standard tuning( one step down from standard, and it works great. Not muddy at all. This pickup is very loud. I play through an old jcm 800, and this thing rips. I dropped the dirty fingers into an epi. lp special 2, and it has greatly improved my sound. I raised my pickup fairly close to the strings, and raised the pole pieces on the e, a, b, and high e strings, and i got a really chunky bottom end, with a nice high end, and still not muddy. my only complaint is that it sounds a little cold on a clean channel. its very useable on a clean channel, its just not warm as some like it. It is punchy and bright on clean which is ok on some things, but you would really need a Paf in the neck to have a lot of versatility. Im still a kid, but being modest, I have to play with my VERY good high school drummer if i want to play anything besides iron man. None of my middle school friends can keep up with me. Now, instead of sounding like a little kid on a $100 guitar, I sound alot more like a real musician. this pickup will make a 200 dollar guitar sound like a 1000 dollar guitar. I hope my review helped you guys.
