The G7th Performance capo is a completely new approach to capo design. It has none of the disadvantages of conventional capos, but instead offers enhanced performance and is simple to use. Not only that, it looks and feels great!

The wrap spring clutch consists of just three elements: a fixed hub, a moving hub, and a spring whose inside diameter is just slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the two hubs. When the spring is forced over the two hubs, attempting to rotate in the direction which opens the capo wraps it down tightly on the hubs, positively engaging them.

Rotation in the other direction, to tighten the capo onto the strings, is not restricted. To release the capo, the control tang is moved in the direction to unwind the spring, thus releasing the clutch.
The beauty of this type of clutch for this application is that it can be adjusted in tiny increments.

The clutch mechanism is a modified tried-and-tested design used in printers and copiers to provide a simple decoupling and overrun device.

Comments about G7THC Performance Capo:

Got this baby for Christmas...was a little hesitant based on the reviews. Holy capo..... I love it, I have a couple of different capos I have used...this is the only one I use now period!! I will buy more so I don't have to swap from guitars. Looks cool, functions incredibly, holds tuning much better and actually reduced some buzz that I had with my Takamine. Works awesome on my Taylor. I just cant say enough about it. Wait!!!.... it could be cheaper!! but I love it!!

      Comments about G7THC Performance Capo:

Anybody that would give this anything but 5 stars is either a competitor, or received a defective one.
Every review I have read is so good I had to get one. It is the best capo ever designed.
Who would have ever thought any one could design another capo, like the better mouse trap.

      Comments about G7THC Performance Capo:

This capo looks better than it performs. It does not hold strings well and they will buzz no matter how tight you clamp it. I have over 40 years professional experience and almost every major brand capo (Shubb, Kyser, etc.) all perform better than this capo. I have tried it on my vintage D-28 Martin, Custom Mossman and Larrivee parlor with the same results. Buyer beware.

        Comments about G7THC Performance Capo:

The clamping mechanism works fantastically. Stays in tune really well too. Also, it's nice not to have some long thing coming off the neck of your guitar like other capos. The nice brushed aluminum fits great with an acoustic guitar.
