Unique look and great sound

I tend to like traditional colors for Gibson guitars like sunburst but this blue looks amazing on this guitar. Really adds a unique take on a very unique guitar. New 496 humbuckers gives this guitar some real dirty tones which is perfect for some heavier rock music. Very comfortable neck and the body shape sits well.

This guitar screams both visually and aurally. The 496 humbuckers are more full bodied than the traditional mini humbuckers and is a welcome addition. The slim neck profile is super comfortable and a breeze to play. This guitar is definitely built for stage as it has an iconic look that is built to rock. Anyone on the fence about buying a Firebird should jump on this version, it's solid all around.

I bought mine in cardinal red. It's a show stopper. The color takes this iconic guitar and makes it unforgettable. I plugged it in and I was in love. The pickups are hotter than i expected, something along the lines of a Gibson Explorer. Two word to describe them, powerful and clear. My only issue is the grover tuners. They go out of tune faster than i'd like.

Unlike the standard Firebird, this Firebird Studio is designed to be a working musicians instrument. It's light weight, the neck is thin and comfortable, the instrument is not neck heavy, and it features traditional tuners and humbuckers. I appreciate Gibson for making these changes, because i wouldn't have jumped a Firebird Studio otherwise.

    Great sounding all-American

I strapped this on and for a second thought I was in a '57 Cadillac. Then I let those humbuckers roar and it was more like a hot rod! Craftsmanship was what you'd expect from a Gibson, that is to say flawless, and Grover tuners kept everything in tune.

Johnny Winter was the king of the Firebird's and I see why. Great tone from this solid monogamy (joke) gem. The Pelham Blue is different but makes it stand out and adds character to this often forgotten beast!

Who doesn't want a firebird? The coolest guitar in rock and roll. The blue on these are awesome and the necks are super playable. I would recommend to a friend.
