For rock, country or blues players that want a moderately powered amp they can crank up on the gig or in the studio. The fat, snappy guitar tones heard on many of our favorite recordings, from Memphis to Abbey Road, were made using the Deluxe.  The "new" '65 Deluxe Reverb is living proof of the quality and longevity of Fender amp designs. Over the years, many musicians have found the versatile Deluxe Reverb a perfect match for surf, rock, blues, soul, country and every music style in between.

Featuring Reverb and Vibrato, this two-channel amp has been used on thousands of recordings and countless live performance since 1963 when the first version appeared on the music scene.  The '65 Deluxe Reverb is a faithful reproduction of an original 1965 Deluxe Reverb model AB 763. Every effort has been made to keep the circuitry exactly like the original. For improved reliability and manufacturing efficiency, a printed circuit board for the components is used in place of the original phenolic parts panel. The power and output transformers used in the 22-watt '65 Deluxe Reverb are built to the original specifications and although some components used in this re-issue amplifier are different in size and shape from the earlier version, the component values are identical.

The speaker is a duplicate of the original Jensen 12-inch "Specially Designed For Fender" speaker used during the 1960's.  The '65 Deluxe Reverb is the ultimate "club amp" for blues, rock or country, or for studio recording applications. Big enough to cut through the mix, but small enough to turn up and wail. The '65 Deluxe features 22-watts, one 12" special design speaker, 2 channels (normal, vibrato), all-tube circuitry, tube vibrato, tube spring reverb, Black-face cosmetics, and a 2-button footswitch for reverb & vibrato.

Yes, That's right...22 Watts of awesome! This '65 Deluxe sounds fantastic..especially with a Telecaster. And yes, I suppose that a Strat will do as well. :) Not heavy, and plenty of power.

Comments about Fender Vintage Reissue '65 Deluxe Reverb 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

For being a new amp, you'd absolutely never know the difference. The original '65 Deluxe is part of group that put Fender amplification on the map and helped shape their empire. This particular reissue shows no mercy when blowing you away at how eerily similar it is to the original. It's perfect for smaller clubs to crank up and sounds amazing through the mains when you have a mic up to it in bigger places. Its also a great answer to getting smooth clean tones in the studio.

Comments about Fender Vintage Reissue '65 Deluxe Reverb 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

This is a great little amp for getting those classic tones. The 12" speaker doesn't lie - so be prepared to get back what you put into it. This is amp is great for smaller gigs, where you might need it to start breaking up around 5-6 on the volume level (depending on your axe, too), or for larger gigs if you can mike it. The controls are almost as basic as they come: volume, treble & bass. Of course, there's reverb, etc. but really you just decide how much top/bottom end you want, how loud, and you're in business. If you're looking for more modern sounds/genres, this probably isn't the amp for you. And, as always, check out used units before you buy new - they hold up well to wear/tear, so save yourself some $$$ and buy one used.

Comments about Fender Vintage Reissue '65 Deluxe Reverb 1x12" Tube Guitar Combo Amplifier:

"I love this amp,,,,it has the classic fender tone along with way cool looks. No it doesn't sound like one made in 1965, but I can remember amps back then sounding bright and top heavy in tone then, too. This is every bit the amp of yesterday and will continue to improve in sound the older it gets. 22 watts, hah ! It sounds more like a 30 or 40 watt amp. Plug in your favorite ax, turn it up and listen for the magic !!!"
