Comments about Stratacoustic Acoustic Electric Guitar:

First off, it is NOT an acoustic. If you are looking for an acoustic/electric, the tones from this little guitar will disappoint you. However, if you are looking for an electric/acoustic, this is a great pickup. Amplified, you can get some very rich acoustic tones, or you can get ZZ Topp. Very versatile, durable, stays in tune. I put electric strings on mine and what you lose acousticly, you pick up in playablity. Mine stays with me when my other more expensive guitars stay at home.

Comments about Stratacoustic Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar mostly because at age 15 i could not afford much else, but id been playing guitar for quite a while. It is not a bad guitar, but i dont like the tone much, sound quality bothers me slightly. I'm aiming to trade it in for a new one when i come into some cash. But i've had it for a good year now and it's not too bad

Comments about Stratacoustic Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I borrowed one from a friend and am surprised at how versatile this guitar is. While it doesn't have the depth of sound that my Dove has, it's a good all around guitar. We play Christian music, praise and rock and it has surprised me, especially when I use an effects pedal like the Zoom for acoustic. It's actually less expensive than I thought after I played it. It may not hold up to constant use on the road, but for a small place, it does a great job. The light weight means you can play it longer without getting your shoulder worn out! While it's not a top of the line guitar, it is well worth the money. It's got good neck action and works best with light gauge strings.

Comments about Stratacoustic Acoustic Electric Guitar:

I bought the Stratacoustic because I wanted an inexpensive guitar for playing away from home. I was looking for something with an electric style neck/action that didn't cost too much in case I dropped it. The Stratacoustic fit the bill (at the half off clearance price). The neck is very similar to an electric, the built in tuner is a nice touch. The sound coming from it is not the best, even plugged in it's not ideal but it's acceptable. With the included strings the high notes sound almost like a Ukelele (not good). I've read that swapping to smaller strings helps the tone. Build quality is stereotypical "made in china". It seems put together ok but there are tooling marks and imperfections on the back of the neck. It's a good guitar for half price but I'd never pay retail for it, it's just not worth [$]
