Since its birth in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass made history the moment of its arrival as the first solid body electric bass, changed the face of music; and has continued to be the standard bearer and a frontline force in the world of popular music.

Features also include an alder body, with the same contours you know and love that made players put down their acoustic basses and never look back. Fender retained their legendary uncomplicated electronics by outfitting the Standard Precision Bass with a vintage style split single-coil pickup. A ‘’C’’ shaped maple neck with a maple or rosewood fingerboard with a modern 9-1/2" radius and medium-jumbo frets maximize comfort and playability. Chrome hardware includes a Standard Vintage 4 saddle bass bridge and open gear tuners. A Deluxe Gig Bag is included.

Comments about Fender Standard Precision Bass with Gig Bag:

I have been playing for over 20 Years now. I have been a Big Fender Fan on their American Standard Series, but didn't want to pay the price. So I bought the Arctic White with a Maple Neck. The feel was real good. But I did change the Pick-Up to a SPB-3, and the Bridge was change to a L.Q.B.A.II. Now this Bass has that extra bite to the sound for Metal Music as well. I also added a Black Pick-Guard, but that was a Vanity thing for myself. Had this came with the right Pick-Up and Bridge I would have easily given this Bass 5 Stars. But that is also just my Opinion. It also comes with a Good Gig-Bag. The Set-Up was good straight out of the Box. And Samash packs these inside 2 Boxes, with Extra Padding.

Precision Bass made in Mexico is GREAT

Comments about Fender Standard Precision Bass with Gig Bag:

Time to buy a new bass, so I went into the store fully prepared to spend $1,500.00 or more to get something up to my standards. I played a variety of things, all of the best and most expensive basses, not even looking at prices really, and then I finally picked up a Fender Precision bass thinking it was one of the higher-priced American made models. I played it and fell in love with it. Great playability, felt better in my hands than anything else in the store, and had just bloody great sound. Kind of bass you know right away you have to own. I told the guy I wanted it, and he tells me it's one of their Mexico-made models and it's only [$]! Only then did I learn it was made in Mexico and therefore less expensive -- and to think I wouldn't have picked it up had I known that in the first place? What a great lesson I learned. I am a professional bassist of 30 years, not a beginner. I work every single week as a bassist, and I'm sorry, but I love this bass and I don't care where it was made. I was shopping and ready to spend much more, but I went home with this bass because it was the best bass in the store. Just goes to show you, the basses Fender makes in Mexico are great. Try one, you'll buy one.

Comments about Fender Standard Precision Bass with Gig Bag:

The bass is very good. A large step up from beginner basses cheap composite wood. Has great Fender tone and can be used for any genre of music. A must have. Only problem is the weak bridge that comes with it. A simple switch out with a better bridge will make this already good bass untouchable.
