The Fender Standard Jazz Bass pairs traditional Fender tone and style with modern updates at an affordable price!

Since its inception in 1960, the Jazz Bass has been one most widely used basses in all different genres of music. Because of its unparalleled versatility and easy playability, the Jazz Bass remains as popular as ever.  In tandem with its predecessor, the Precision Bass, the Jazz Bass continues to be the standard bearer and a frontline force in the world of popular music.

The Fender Standard Jazz Bass holds true to the most of the original specs that made it an instant classic in 1960. It boasts an alder body featuring Fender's legendary 'comfort contour' and offset waist design that was way ahead of its time. The Standard Jazz Bass comes equipped a bolt-on Modern "C"-shaped maple neck and a more contemporary 9.5"-radius fingerboard with medium-jumbo frets for maximum comfort and playability. The body is outfitted with a pair of single-coil pickups that deliver those clear, punchy, Jazz Bass tones that were the driving force behind an endless list of bands throughout the decades. A parchment colored pickguard adds an old school vibe to this modern day classic while chrome hardware includes a 4-Saddle Standard Vintage-Style bridge and Standard Open-Gear tuners. Case not included.

Comments about Fender Standard Jazz Bass Guitar:

I love this bass. Ive personally used one of these in recording from rock music, to jazz and funk. One of the best bass guitars you can buy in this price range. Incredibly warm tone and thick bottom end make this a great sounding bass for the price and an excellent buy for any range of player. Smooth, easy to handle fretboard also make this guitar comfortable and versatile for any method of play. I would definitely recommend this bass to anyone looking for a great quality bass at a great price. I am a reviewer at sam ash music. JL9222

Comments about Fender Standard Jazz Bass Guitar:

I've been on tour for two years, and I picked up a Fender Standard Jazz Bass about three months into my run. I haven't felt the need to upgrade at all (and I've looked at some higher end basses). It has a feel that makes it so comfortable to play, no matter whether I'm doing a country gig, or a funk revue. It's been around since 1960 and is still going strong, what's not to love?

Comments about Fender Standard Jazz Bass Guitar:

The fender jazz bass is the best bass to use when slapping and popping. I plugged this baby up into a Fender Rumble 100 amp and the thunder came out fullblown.

I can't believe that no one else wrote a review for this instrment. Out of all the basses the Jazz bass is the one I would prefer the most. It is extremely reliable and it won't let you down.
