The Fender Road Worn '60s Jazz Bass sounds, looks and feels like it’s been there and back, has more than a few miles on it, and then some.

If you prize older instruments with the battered look of years on the road and the scars of countless gigs, you can still have that authentically aged vibe without spending decades on the road yourself. The irresistibly cool look of finish worn through to the wood, rusted hardware, a bruised neck and yellowing plastic parts are yours right away with Fender's Road Worn instruments. With authentic 1960s styling aged to impart a lifetime of wear and tear that has somehow made it get even better, this is a must-have for the Jazz Bass player who appreciates broken-in look and vibe.

Pure and simple, this instrument features classic vintage styling that evokes and honors the timeless Fender basses that came before it in the 1950s, '60s and '70s. From the rear strap button to the top of the headstock, it’s the very essence of classic vintage Fender bass design. A major part of the vintage-style sound, look and appeal of this bass is its vintage-style pickups, which deliver pure bass tone, power and performance evoking the great Fender basses of the 1950s, '60s and '70s. This instrument includes a vintage-authentic nitrocellulose-lacquer finish that lets the body wood breathe with more natural resonance. Its Road Worn finish and hardware treatment imparts a cool aged look and feel, conveying the impression that this instrument has more than just a few miles on it.

Features:
  • 1960s style with aged/worn body, neck, finish and hardware touches
  • Worn nitrocellulose-lacquer finish
  • Maple neck with “C” profile
  • 7.25”-radius rosewood fingerboard with 20 vintage-style frets
  • Dual vintage-style single-coil Jazz Bass pickups
  • American Vintage-style four-saddle bridge
  • Deluxe gig bag included

Comments about Fender Road Worn '60s Jazz Bass Guitar:

My only issue with this bass was its price... disregarding the aging and nitro finish, it is the exact same thing as the mexi 60s RI which is about $400 less... the only reason i got this over said mexi bass was that I really wanted the old desert sand color scheme (tortise shell on fiesta red) and i liked the nitro finish... if you don't really care about color do yourself a favor and go for the less pricey 60s RI they sound exactly the same and use the same hardware, pickups, and tone woods.

Comments about Fender Road Worn '60s Jazz Bass Guitar:

I played this for about 20 minutes a local franchise music store on a brand new Ampeg 115 Watt. This, despite the extreme price, ugly, sawed off paint, old looking EQ's, Tuners, Bridge, etc... (i realize this is intentional) this bass was really awful. I expect something much better, not even from Fender, but from a bass in general. I switched amps to see if it was the amp, but it was the bass. I soon after put it back and discovered that the 300 dollar(!) Epiphone there was 10 times better. I also discovered that an Ibanez Starter Mikro can sound better with the right player.

My opinion, DO NOT BUY THIS BASS. GET A FIREBIRD BASS, BUY A SANDER, MAKE YOUR OWN VINTAGE!
