A distinctive Telecaster model with a full-throated pair of single-coil Modern Player MP-90 pickups.

Throughout its history, Fender has always made a special point of welcoming new players to the family by offering entry-level instruments of remarkable style and substance (such as the Duo-Sonic, Mustang and Musicmaster models), with great sound, classic looks, solid performance and eminent affordability. The Modern Player series continues that great my-first-Fender tradition, with thoroughly modern features and several distinctively unconventional new takes on Fender's most revered instruments-all with outstandingly attainable value.

The Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe casts an already distinctive classic Telecaster model in a whole new light with a full-throated pair of single-coil Modern Player MP-90 pickups. Other features include a mahogany body, "C"-shaped maple neck, maple fingerboard with 9.5" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets, three-way toggle pickup switching, three-ply pickguard (parchment on Sunburst model; black-white-black on other models), four skirted amp knobs (two volume, two tone), vintage-style Stratocaster strings-through-body six-saddle hard-tail bridge, vintage-style tuners and nickel/chrome hardware. Case not included.

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I love Strat's, but never been a big Tele fan. Until I played this guitar! The warm, rich tone won me over imediately! Not to mention the playability of the neck! And a beautiful guitar! I'd give it 10 stars if I could!! Especially for the money!

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

This tele is one of favorite pieces of gear I own. The combination of the semi hollow weight and classic aesthetics with modern playability is a killer deal for the money. High output MP-90 pickups provide a smooth clean and searing gain and just about every tone in between. You will not be disappointed.

Comments about Fender Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar to transition from acoustic to electric. The tone is really awesome, and the sustain is also great. The hollow body does give it a warmer sound, but its not completely hollow, so it should be noted as "chambered." I played a mexican fender thinline tele, and I actually liked this guitar more. The mexican cost $300 more, and I just couldn't justify speending that much more money. The action on this guitar even felt better. Overall it's a really good guitar, its amazing value for the money.
